View Full Version : Next new T70sS episode: "Suprise, Suprise" 12/1/04
JD2635 11-17-2004, 05:55 PM Hyde is upset when he discovers his new sister, Angie, has started dating Kelso. Meanwhile, Donna agrees to help out Red's failing muffler shop by plugging his calendar on her radio station, but she's appalled when she discovers it's full of scantily clad greaser girls.

Could it be that I enjoyed another episode?
Could it be that after a few weeks of forcing myself to do more than chuckle, I laughed out loud many times?
Could it be this was a step in the right direction?
I really enjoyed this episode. The "Kelso nailed your sister" thing was a little tedious, but it was still great. "Sticks and stones may break my bones but Kelso nailed your sister." Great.
There wasn't a lot of Eric, but that was okay. He did enough.
The Donna/Red thing wasn't great, but Red had a few good lines.
And Jackie actually did something. Can you believe it? Jackie actually had a storyline where it wasn't her talking about wanting Hyde to be rich. Sure, she was still spoiled, but at least this was a legit storyline.
Two thumbs up this week.

Two thumbs up this week!
Like as Ebert and Roeper would say it as. A great suprise, Suprise episode with Kelso announcing that he did it with every person's sister in the basement. Although I thought the whole Eric saying Kelso has done it with Hyde's sister was a tad bit annoying, I thought it was freakin' hilarious. For this episode of T70sS it gets a rating of.
**********/5 out of 10! Best episode thus far.
P.S. You know since T70sS would be ending next year, you know their other show that tapes at the same studio Will & Grace has really starting to get real stale. They have guest stars on the show every single week! That is probably why that show is getting too expensive! So that is why Will & Grace is likely going to end as well. That show along with this one is going out in style!
PixieLicious 12-02-2004, 09:23 PM Eh, I thought this episode was mediocre (sp) The only real funny part was kelso doing it with hydes sister. It was funny when eric kept bringing it up but after about the fourth time it was a little old. I really like hyde having a sister even though I dont like her too much. Um....What happened to brooke?
Fonzie87 12-04-2004, 11:38 PM Isnt Hydes sister black? I know his father is, but I think its gone too far. I liked it better when Hyde had no sister, and didnt know his father. And that his family was white! Nothing against black people, but I think the producers pushed this non-racist crap too far. Im not racist, but Im proud to be white, and back in the 70s people were very racist. Modern day, people dont care, but it un-authenticated the show... alot. First, Hyde would have been mad his dad was black, next, Kelso probably wouldnt have done it with Hydes sis.
snl75 12-04-2004, 11:55 PM i was born in the 70s and nether i nor any member of my family were ever racist and ther were a alot of people in the 70s who werent we can assume the foreman family welcomes all people regardless of race and besides its a comedy show i for one im vaugely offended by your remarks
snl75 12-04-2004, 11:58 PM and let me correct myself when i said vaugely offended i ment that im offended by what seemes to be your vaugely racist remarks

Ok not everyone was racist. I really dont think hyde would have been pissed since he though "whitie" was keeping him down. Hes made several references to that. And plus he liked that one melissa chick that was black. So it wasnt really unheard of especially for teenagers to be with other races.
Fonzie87 12-05-2004, 01:00 AM What bothers me is that Hydes family (aside from his mother) is black, and he isnt. And while thats not uncommon, why is it that out of nowhere a black man shows up and is Hydes old man? I know that in the 70s not everyone was racist, but white guys never would have wished, or prefered it if they were black (unlike alot of these modern white guys). The producers made Hyde, out of nowhere, wanting, or wishing, or pretending, or whatever word you wanna use, to be black. I remember his coment "Im SO Black." Thats what bothers me. That didnt happen in the 70s, and you cant convince me otherwise. While I wasnt born until the 80s, my father was about the same age as the guys in T70sS (maybe a year younger), and would never have gone out with a black chick. And both my father, and my grandfather think it is wrong and discusting that a white guy (or girl) would go out with a black of the opposite sex. And they think it is even worse (and so do I) that a white guy would want to be black! Now, this isnt a Political TV Show, its a sitcom, meant for enjoyment, not for political, or racial discussions and arguements. And I dont want this to be an arguement, I just posted my opinion, and sorry if I offended anyone, but like I said, it is my opinion.
