What is the possibility that the thrift store will hold something for me? Like, if I want "Madonna's "Virgin Tour" VHS, but I do not have money for it today, but will have it tomorrow? Do thrift stores hold merchandise for you until you come back with enough money??

When I see something I want at a thrift store, I am going to buy it! Three times I have wanted something but didn't buy it when I could have, and when I came back to buy it, it was already bought by somebody else. This has happened to two VHS's that I wanted, "Toni Braxton's Hit Video Collection and Madonna's Like A Virgin Tour. It happened once with Madonna's Immaculate Collection cassette. I left IC because I thought it would be there when I came back(for some strange reason) and when I came back, it had already been bought. This was in 2002 or 2003. I found another copy at another thrift store, in 2004 and bought it, over a year after I had turned down the first copy. Took me over a year to find another copy of it!! That should have taught me a lesson, but no, I had to go and pass down two more things I wanted, The Hit Video Collection from Toni Braxton and Madonna's Like A Virgin Tour. From now on, if I absolutely can't buy it the day that I see it, I should go to the cashier and ask them to put it on layaway/hold it for me until I get back with enough money.

I've bought several cassettes at a local thrift store, The Grass Roots, The Guess Who, The Monkees and they were in good condition. You never know
what you'll run up on.

I buy stuff at thrift stores to resale on Ebay and yes, You never know what you'll find and that's not limited to music.

I find a lot of 80s and 90s VHS tapes from old mom and pops video stores. I've found a lot of titles that aren't on DVD, especially cheesy horror films I love so much. I've also found some hard to find books real cheap too. I also like to resell on Ebay too. I've bought books for $1.00 and had them sell for seventy bucks!
