"Mom I don;t care what kind of ice cream you get as long as it's chocolate"

"i cannot get down if my ice cream is not brown"

"We should eat Cream of Wheat because there is a black man on the box"

"What's the point of having a black president because they will still call it the White House"

"Southside is where all the rich blacks live. They eat their chicken BROILED"

These were some of the dumbest statements that came out his mouth

I never been to Chicago, but I would think mostly poor blacks live there. Wasn't that's were the Evans live? Also, I find Michael being sort of double standard being that he was pro-black when he was younger, and in the last season remember he wanted to share that apartment with that white girl? Florida was against it, and he accused her of being prejudice!

i think the statements are hilarious! fed into his pro-black image obviously. sometimes he was a little over the top, but that's what made the character so likeable to me. i think they wanted him to be obnoxious about the black pride theme. even though as he got older, he started to get preachy.

remember when he asked the crooked Rev:
"how much of that money do you give to the BLACK community."

funny, he never answered.....

Yes there are poor blacks on the south side. The Evans' live on the near north side.
