Worried the castaways are beginning to suffer island madness the Professor conspires with Ginger to use a crystal ball to predict the future to help raise morale. The Professor tampers with the radio so it won’t work. With everyone sitting around the communal table arguing, he promises to repair the radio by the 6 o’clock news. He reattaches a wire so he and Ginger can hear any news messages to make her seem like a real mystic. During the 6 o’clock news the message about the USS York is broadcast.
