Have you ever had a boyfriend (or girlfriend if you're a boy) or someone who has a crush on you?
I don't :( All the boys in my school are mean and they hate me. Some boys call me ugly....so unfortanly, I've never had a boyfriend nor does a boy have a crush on me. This one boy in my school loves my sisters (because he thinks they're cute) and they're only 10 and 8! But they have boyfriends anyway.
Anyway....my question is, am I the only teenanger that has never had a boyfriend and doesn't have anyone who thinks you're hot or sexy?
I feel depressed, but I'm not naive, I know when I'm older my body will change and maybe I'll look better, and I can always change it.

Man, apparently the girl who played Gabriella on Desperate Housewives was ugly as a kid.




Anyway, when I was in middle school, only this one girl ever liked me, and she really liked me, and I wanted to be friends with her because I thought she was nice, but wasnt attracted to her, but then she matured alot (in both ways, I dont mean that purely superficially), and then I made out with her this one time when she had a boyfriend, and it kind of screwed up both our lives, because I had a girl I was semi-going out with, and yeah, I told her (when I could have just lied about it), but then Mindy decided to get back together with her boyfriend, and I got screwed.



I could have sworn there was advice in there somewhere...

I'm sure you'll get better-looking. Your going through puberty right now, and everyone is always uglier at puberty.

I'm 18, So I'm in The awkward Age of being an Adult and a Teenager at the same time.

And yet....I Have still not had a girlfriend.

But it really doesnt bother me that much except when I Cry myself to sleep, Listen to depressing love songs, Watch TV And see people half my age dating, Or Go into town and see everyone paired up but me.

So while i am lonely, sad and depressed about not having a girflriend 23 hours a day.....The other hour is spent thinking about food and/or eating food. Therefor There are 7 hours of the week....That I Am not upset about not having a girlfriend.

It also doesnt help that I Had a crush on the same girl for like....7-8 years (From 6th Grade until earlier this year) And could never work up the courage to say anything to her that wasnt completely stupid (Such as "I Have a very large dog that could easily tear people apart")

I hate to say this, but that is a lie


there are girls who get fat at puberty, so when you are all like 12 they are the cutest girls in the class, and then they gain weight and never lose it again.


Damn, I'm naturally depressing.


At any rate, all of the guys your age are surely idiots, you are most likely better without their advances.

From the age of 12 to 16 i had big curly-poofy hair that looked like an afro if i didnt get haircuts often, I Wore clothes that made me look like a complete goof, And at one point became very overweight.

Its extremely embarassing. Makes me look like some hillbilly or something.

The truth is, Bad teeth runs in my family. Something as simple as eating fried chicken can chip my teeth badly.

Exactly. Sometimes I feel when I'm hanging with my friends that my childhood was cut short at age 10, because these days little kids are getting interested with romance and all that crap much younger, including my friends. I'm 14 and I still feel like a little kid.

Looks shouldn't have anything to do with it. If someone doesn't respect you enough to look past your appearence, then you shouldn't try to associate yourself with them.

I see kids even in highschool dating and it doesn't bother me...MOST...of the time because their just wasting their last years of being a kid and it's rediculous to me. Same here it was 7th grade. And I didn't even like him in that way, I was just stupid, insecure and not to mention desparate, because "boyfriends" were "in" Then he" broke up" with me. I did get a little mad, because I felt like I was taken advantadge of until I realized about a year later that I'm too much of a dumbass to have good judgement. It almost risked my friendship with the guy too. Being "single" now is alot better than having a "boyfriend". :nod:

I was too afraid of relationship when I was 12. Still am. Thanks mom and dad :wave: So I wouldn't even talk to the boy.

think about it, about 15 years ago boys at this age taunted girls. At my school these 7th graders were making out at the school social.

A lot of guys have liked me since i started high school. so many that it became a problem, which it still sort of is. i stopped wearing makeup because of it, but honestly so you know i'm not bragging, without makeup i dont see whats so attractive about me. i dont put as much effort into how i look and i always wear baggy shirts and jeans. although i've had many opportunities to have a boyfriend i've never had one because i wasn't interested in any of them. i've been cold to some of them who won't leave me alone. Believe me, when i was 11 or 12 it was like my dream to be considered hot, but now that it's true, i hate it rather. it was flattering at first but it got irritating. last year i actually told this guy to **** off when he said hi to me. but it's not as bad this year, which is good.

Guys suck anyway. You don't want to get into a relationship, because most of the time, they suck. I hate when guys like me....especially guys I've been friends with, and they suddenly realize that I am, indeed, a girl. I despise that....it changes the whole friendship. Besides, you don't need a bf/gf to make you happy! No matter what age you are, you have so many other things you could be devoting your time to.

I know what you mean. some guy on my block who me and my brother used to play with when we were little liked me last year. i couldn't stand that. i avoided him as much as i could.

Well, I dunno how old you are, so this may either be helpful or not but *shrugs*.

First of all, puberty was...bad. I used to...not care. I would wear baggy clothes and my hair was always up and in 7th grade I got my contacts but I never wore make up and I had yucky eyebrows, I was blah. Ah, and I had braces. Anyways, in 9th grade I looked BETTER, I was growing into my looks a little more. My clothes were better, I waxed my eyebrows, etc. etc. Anyways, in middle school this one guy had this massive crush on me, but I dunno, I really didn't like him...at all, whether he still does or not who knows? But in 9th grade I took a computer class and I became really good friends with these two guys. One of the guys had a huge crush on my best friend and so my friend and I and the two of them became really tight. We were all friends all year and we referred to ourselves as the "posse" and in May the one guy (the one who didn't have a crush on my friend) asked me out. That was the first and only time I've been asked out. We broke up 3 weeks later but him and I are still such great friends, the "posse" still goes to movies and stuff.

But anyways, I know that was long, but who knows, you could become really good friends with some people and one thing could lead to another and you could have yourself a boyfriend. They were no Brad Pitt's or anything but they're the sweetest guys I've ever met.

Oh, and the whole puberty thing has really worked out for me. I finally convinced myself that I was gonna take off a massive amount of weight (20+lbs since July just from eating healthy, going running, and going to the gym) I started wearing make up (not a lot, just enough to enhance my features) and I started getting up 45 minutes before my bus came instead of 5 so I could shower and do my hair. And just the other day I got my hair cut and it looks incredible, there's not much out there for people with curly hair but this is a winner. Oh and I finally got those damn braces off.

You're day will come though, trust me :)

Oh, and I thought everyone in my school was jerks but my ex wasn't, and I'm beginning to find a lot more who aren't. Even the ones who I thought were the biggest ones of the school, let yourself be surprised.

You're not alone honey. I'm 17 and I still haven't had a boyfriend, nor have I been kissed! I feel lonely sometimes and different because everyone else has. I'm not sure if it because they think i'm ugly or if they think I'm weird.
