Actually that has me thinking now. Conventional wisdom indicates that a quick deliberation results in a not guilty verdict. People don't send a man away for life or to his death after a quickie deliberation.

On the other hand, the two dismissed jurors may have been the holdouts, and the alternates jumped on board with the other jurors. If that's the case, Alan Dershowitz is preparing Scottie's appeal as I write this, lol.

Watcher, I agree that they (prosecution) didn't present a clear plain and simple case, but you have to question why was her body found in the same area that he happened to be fishing?

My other reason for finding him quilty, would be his behavior. Regardless of if I were having and affair, my pregnant wife was missing. I would have been out of my mind. And the excuse of well people grieve diffrently is just an excuse.

The other thing that will bother me, when this is done, is that these jurors are going to become celebrities. Which I think alot of them are expecting to happen. Especially the one who quit her job to be on the jury. Like that first juror that was kicked off, now he is an expert on juror.

I didnt really care if he was found innocent or guilty, simply because I feel that for the most part, if he was found innocent it would have been entirely possible that it would be because he was actually innocent. Apparently he is indeed guilty though.

I see that a little. I saw Dean Cain (is that his name?) on a talk show recently. He made a movie about this case. They showed Scott's pic and Cain as Scott's pic side by side. The resemblance was eerie. Unreal actually.

the death penalty is flatout stupid. i would laugh in their ****ing dumb face if i got it. killing someone for being a killer. it's just like raping someone for being a rapist, or stealing from someone for being a thief.

Jury's in California 99% of the time do not go for the death penalty. So Scott most likely will be given life without the possibility of parole.

I wholeheartedly agree with the verdicts. I didn't follow the case a great deal, however my mum did. I don't think he should get the death penalty, but rather rot in prison for the rest of his life.

Well, I'm glad that the verdict is in - and I'm glad that we've found the killer and that he won't get away with it.

But a part in me did not want him to be guilty. I mean, he was her husband. It's so sad to think that a man could do that to his beautiful wife. I'm really saddened. But hopefully this will bring some closure for the Rochas.

I wonder what Scott's family is thinking now. Wonder if they'll ever admit to themselves that their handsome, all-American boy is a murderer.
