I hope we get some good special features, as well...I've seen the episodes so many times that it's nice to have them uncut and on dvd, but it's always nice to get something new.

I know that after The society party on the first disc, there is a preview of The bacholer party so I was hoping that after each ep, there would be a preview of the next. They should do that for the next season's set.

That would be really cool. I have some of the Columbia House videos, and they have the "we'll be right back" bits on there between commercial breaks that used to air in syndication, I think, with voice-overs from the cast in character. New interviews and the like are always good, of course. :D

They should have bloopers from each of the ep's after the ep is over. lol. That'd be great, Penny is SO d@mn funny!

Shirley: "There'll be more fun when the commercial's done. Hey Laverne, I made a rhyme!"

Laverne (sarcastically): "Whoopee."

Those bumpers were used in the original network airings, between the second act and the tag. They might have made it to the first syndication cycle, but they were definitely cut after that, if not sooner.

I wasn't sure, thanks for the clarification. That was before I was alive, and I doubt they were around by the time I started on the show as a kid. I'm glad to have a few in video form.

And yes -- Paramount sure has skimped us on goodies.

I was born during the season where Laverne & Shirley decided to move to California.

I bet that Penny and Cindy find it great that half of the fans are really young and weren't even around when the show first started, I bet it makes them feel great that young people admire them. <3

I was born in '85...raised on reruns.

I've always found it interesting that such a large portion of the L&S fan base seems to be so young, but yep -- I would be delighted if something I did had an impact on future generations like some tv shows have. The cast is easy to admire, they have all had personal struggles and they are all blatantly talented. :)

I hope we get some extras eventually on the dvds -- I need me some new Lenny & Squiggy goodness. Heh. (But I won't hold my breath.) At this point I'm wondering whether all the seasons will get a decent release anyway, what with the last season being what it is. I would love to see the reunion specials released, as well...the latest one, anyway. (Again, not holding my breath.) Just have to wait and see, I guess.

Yeah, I was basically borned and raised on reruns too; started watching the show in preschool and I have old tapes recorded of the show ~ it's great. lol. I have the old commercials on there too. And what I also like about L&S is that it's not focused on sex, drugs, and all this other porn like stuff. lol.

That's exactly why I love L&S and classic television in general. Less smut - more plot, characterization, and a greater number of clean or less blatantly-sexual laughs. Yup, that's the good stuff.

YAY, another one that agrees. lol. I swear, I'm like not supposed to be part of this generation 'cause i'm not in to the new shows and it's stupid humor.
