In the episode where Herman buys property at Happy Valley, at the end of the episode he says "Give me a house by the side of the road and I'll be a friend to man." Does anyone know where that quote comes from or did Herman just make it up?

If you listen to the first few words before that quote he says that it was Frank Sinatra.

I thought that just referred to the "no place like home" quote. Thanks
