How many people made multiple apperances in diffrent roles? So far I have:

the guy who played Mr. Angelino made his first appearance clean shaven ,as a guy Jack was cooking for in the first episode in season 4 after the Ropers left.

the one actor who played the doctor in Chrissy's hospitality also played Mr. Gainer, the widowered father of one of Jack's dates.

Jeffory Tambor made 3 appearances in 3 roles; Cindy's boyfriend, Jack's dentist, and a doctor at Teri's hospital.

Terry Kiser as the jealous boyfriend Max in "Dying to meet you" and MR. Canon in "a friend in need".

There was also Alan McRae who played Phil in episode: "Triangle Troubles" and then the robber in "Eyewitness Blues".

Michael Bell played Rama Mageesh in "Chrissy and the Guru" and he played Michael in "Some of That Jazz"

Anne Schedeen played Jack's girlfriend Linda in a couple of episodes and also played a loan officer in "Jack Gets His Own Restaurant". The weird thing is I just check www.imdb.com and it says she was also in the episode "Honest Jack Tripper" as someone named Lisa Page. I don't remember her in that. I'll have to check that out next time it's on. :)

Also, the man who played (pervert) Mr. Penrose later played Janet's father!

First one was where Stanley went to buy that part of the desert then was arrested with a girl in his room. She was the girl there.
Second time was when Janet told her parents she and Jack were married. She played Jack's date, Shelly.
Third time was when Jack got into the modeling job for the new art instructor neighbor. She was the art instructor. :)

Also, the lady who played on the show where Larry takes Mr Furley to single's night at the Regal Beagle, the one that was Furley's date was also the lady he tried to get to move into the kids apartment when they needed a new roommate. And the one that played Jack's date comes back as the model he takes Janet's car for.

Yep, that was it. That was the part I forgot.

I thought of another one. I don't know her name, but the actress who played Rita in the episode "The Crush" also played Jack's date, Katie, in the episode "Jack's Other Mother".

I think the guy who played Greg in The Harder They Fall was the same guy who played Bill Martin in Navy Blues

Two characters were played by Elaine Giftos...Chrissy's high priced call girl friend in "A Hundred Dollars a What" and Janet's commercial director friend in "An Affair to Forget" (where she is married and hits on Jack)! Elaine really cornered the market on the bad girl roles!

Irene Tedrow played these roles, not Barbara Stuart, as another poster said. Barbara Stuart did appear in Chrissy's Cousin, as Furley's desired replacement for Chrissy.

The girl you refering to is actress Sondra Currie (Sherri Lee)who is good friends with loni anderson who allso played jacks former girlfriend in the episode coffe tea or jack and actor james cromwell who played the the cop that called chissy a hooker in chrissys night out. Those 3 episodes are on the 2nd season dvd set.

I always thought it was weird when somone played another charecter.

She played Mrs. Dawson, the real estate agent who sold the Ropers' apartment in "The Anniversary Surprise" and appeared in "The Matchbreakers" as Marsha Whitewood, the golddigger that was interested in Mr. Furley because she thoughte he owned the building.
