View Full Version : Season 4 DVD News
slackermonkey 11-08-2004, 11:52 PM It's coming February 1st, the same day as Cheers: Season 4.
Here's a look at the box art:

Joker85 11-09-2004, 12:36 AM MUUCHHH better than the Cheers season 4 cover art. Though I hate Eddie is not on the spine. I was hoping they would continue that trend through at least season 10, since I know Frasier is waving goodbye on the season 11 spine. Still, cool cover art, can't wait!:)
There's nothing like seeing the cover art on proposed releases to say it's definitely on the way.
Yeah. It is a pity they didn't continue with Eddie. Little touches like that tell me they're on the ball.
barwars 11-09-2004, 01:20 PM It looks better than Season 4 of Cheers, although I miss Eddie on the spine.
AND.... where's Bulldog?!

I was wondering the same thing. I've seen a cast picture with him in the group... maybe they're saving it for season 6 or so?

Actually, Bulldog is behind Roz and Niles in that picture.... they just edited him out.
It was originally done in red, not light blue.
(this was the photo used for the book "The Frasier Scripts")
slackermonkey 11-09-2004, 05:02 PM That's where I saw the cast picture with him in it -- The Frasier Scripts book.
Wow, if they edited him out of a picture he was already in, I guess that means he's not going to be on any of them. Bummer.

Probably not.... this blows.
He was in the Season 3 Box Art too.... until they edited him out.
He was standing behind Roz in the photo shoot.
Chambers 11-09-2004, 05:56 PM Looks very sharp.
...Was there some sort of conflict between Bulldog and the producers?

I don't think so.
He prefered live on Broadway.... they probably don't include him so they can just have the same 5 (6 with Eddie) characters on each cover.
Moondance 11-09-2004, 07:00 PM Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes!!!!!!
I can't wait! This is the DVD I want the most!!!

peter may 11-09-2004, 07:17 PM Bulldog is not really a main character though is he.
slackermonkey 11-09-2004, 07:25 PM In seasons 4-6 he is.
Moondance 11-09-2004, 09:10 PM Bulldog is cool! I loved when he made Frasier sing "Three Little Maids From School" on the radio!!! HAHAHA!!
snazzyfan 11-10-2004, 01:30 AM Yeah, Bulldog was a nice addition to the cast because he was in such contrast to Frasier..plus Dan Butler did such a great job with him.
I really like "Ham Radio"--such a great ensemble episode including Bulldog
*eagerly awaiting season four**
slackermonkey 11-10-2004, 01:41 AM I love "Ham Radio."
One of like, three episodes from season 4 I've seen.

No extras in this set
Chambers 12-09-2004, 01:13 PM I knew releasing all these DVDs at once would come to no good...
barwars 12-09-2004, 04:09 PM Ok, maybe it's a good thing they released Season 11 early.
Frasierfan1983 12-09-2004, 04:56 PM This is bad. I was thinking of actually buying this DVD because it's my favourite season, despite the fact that I have all the episodes already.
But with no extras, there's really not much point at all now. :(

I would buy it to get the episodes uncut, unless you're a casual fan and can live with taping syndicated episodes that's why I would buy it :)
Frasierfan1983 12-09-2004, 05:10 PM Yeah, I am still considering it.
But the fact is I can't afford to buy something I don't really need - I'm a poor student! At this point I'd rather put up with the quality of my own tapes, and may well build a proper Frasier DVD collection (and subsequently recycle all my tapes) at a much later time, when I have the money.
slackermonkey 12-09-2004, 05:40 PM I said it in the Cheers thread, and I'll say it here.
Baaaad little Paramount.
slackermonkey 01-31-2005, 11:24 PM Wow, I haven't posted here in like, two months.
I'm surprised there's not more hoopla about season 4 being released tomorrow. Did this thread die when barwars, Chambers and the rest left?
barwars 02-01-2005, 02:53 PM I got Season 4 a few weeks ago and watched the whole thing already.
My favorite season of the series. (of what I've seen)
snazzyfan 02-01-2005, 03:49 PM I just got season four in the mail...it was fairly cheap to pre-order on amazon (around $28 dollars or something) so i'm very happy
most especially because i had forgotten how great the episodes are from this season....i love "Three Dates and a Breakup."
Sherry was an amazing addition to the cast..if only for a short while. I loved her interaction with frasier and niles. I secretly wish she and Martin had married in the end.

I disagree on all parts. I found the character of Sherry annoying, and found "Three Dates and a Breakup" to be the weakest episode of the season.
But still, great season overall.
slackermonkey 02-01-2005, 10:53 PM I bought my copy today, and am planning a mini-marathon of it and Cheers season 4 tonight before bed. Yay.

slackermonkey 02-02-2005, 11:53 PM I got up to the Sherry episodes today, and by the time her very first scene was over, I already wanted her to leave and never return.
Vincent Paterno 02-08-2005, 08:02 PM Given that seasons 4 through 7 are being released within the span of a year, I'd take that without extras over having only one issued a year with extras.

Hey, I didn't think of that. I agree!
barwars 02-09-2005, 02:16 PM I'd rather wait and have better special features.
