I think Johnny Depp is a great actor, but I can't get Gene Wilder out of my head with this material.

We all love Gene Wilder - we do. Anyone want to deny it? Didn't think so.

But Tim Burton directing this - I'm really hopeful. I think it'll be much more in tune with Roald Dahl's book, which was wonderful, but definately had its darker moments.

Love the poster! With Johnny Depp and Tim Burton, I'm hopeful that this movie will do well. Can't forget Gene Wilder or the original but I'm looking forward to what's in store for us this time around.

The poster looks good, but kind of scary. I'll probably see that version eventually. I know my sister won't. The girl would cry when the oompa loompas would come on. I think this movie will be darker.

I know you can't see all of Wonka's face, but it looks as if Wonka's face will be a very very pale white- devoid of other colours. The whiole way he's standing even looks creepy. Anyone else reminded of Michael Jackson?

However, I won't get the original out of my head either- it was fantastic (especially Gene Wilder). Tim Burton says this script is faithful to the book- there were 'Oompa Loompa' songs in the book as well- hopefully they'll be here too!

I'm hopnig if this does well, 'Charlie and The Great Glass Elevator' will be made- it's a very very strange book (and you finally learn what a Vermicious Knid is).

Ok, now that his face is shown -he doesn't look at all creepy or Michael-Jackson like! I was hoping he'd wear crazy goggles or have bright red eyes or something!

The hair looks plastic!
