I can't believe how well the Chargers are doing this season. They've won two more games than they did all of last year (4-12), Drew Brees has been phenomenal, the Chargers have won five of their last six, and they've scored 85 points in their last two wins and have outscored the opposition 194-96 in that span (5-1). I woner what they're going to do with Drew Brees and Phillip Rivers?

Drew Brees has been great. Drafting Eli and trading him for Phillip was a mistake. Is it easy to trade away a rookie QB with no experience after finding out you don't need him? Hehe.

Drew Brees is gone after this season. They have alot invested in Phillip Rivers.

Well I'm sure Drew Brees could be the starter for any of these teams
Bears
Cowboys
Skins
Saints
Raiders

The Bears are committed to Rex Grossman
The Cowboys believe that Drew Henson is the future
The Saints are a possibility but they still like Aaron Brooks
The Raiders believe in Kerry Collins
I think the Redskins or the Dolphins would be a good choice.

Phillip Rivers will never start a game in San Diego as long as Drew keeps playing the way he has.

I think they should retain Brees. In my opinion, they made a mistake in being impatient and acquiring a new quarterback only to be in this position of having to big quarterbacks, one of them costing them a lot of money.
Rivers did play yesterday, but he handed off every time. He'd be a good backup QB. I think he'd also be good in games where the Chargers are leading by a large margin and they can rest their regulars for the rest of the game.

Some teams ( cough Cowboys) have been searching for one for years. I would love the Cowboys to get any serviceable good qb in case Henson doesn't pan out. The Chargers have really surprised me this year but one thing is certain. Anything can happen in the NFL.

Maybe - I think they are tied with Denver who already beat the Chargers. Denver always screws Schottenheimer - I think he is still coaching the Chargers.

Also, man am I glad the Chargers chose Rivers, being a Steeler fan that left Big Ben for the Steelers to draft.
