Any one remember the episode on UM where this husband drops his wife off at the subway and she disapeared after that and he comes back and she never showed up

any one remember this? can u explain again clearly what happened..

The missing woman's name is Dottie Caylor. She suffered from agorophobia. In my opinion she was getting better because she had joined a support group and made new friends (they interviewed some of them on the segment). She was in a bad marriage with her husband, Jule. He claims he dropped her off at a subway station, and never saw her again. Her car was found there and I think he later changed his story and said he never dropped her off. He also goes on to say it was horrible to live with Dottie and now life is pretty good (he's saying all this while his wife is still missing, by the way). I remember watching this episode when i was around 8 (when it first aired) and remember they talked about this woman being killed in Pleasant Hill, Ca at the Bay Area Rapid Transportation station. Scared the crap out of me because I would go there with my parents sometimes (I had nightmares about it forever!) Anyways...this is a nostalgic relief to remember this story.

I remember that story. What I remember most about it is how spooky the husband looked. I think this was one of, if not the very first episode of UM, wasn't it?

Watching the older episodes is interesting, because there's no way they would work on NBC "must see TV" today. It's not that they're BAD, they're just to monotone and creepy.

You wouldn't see UM following "Joey" in today's lineup. It's interesting to note that UM was one of the original "reality" type shows.

is mentioned briefly on the "Bizzare Murders" DVD although the case is not featured on the set on one of the commentaries one of the producers mention how Jule had a lawyer present with him while he was doing the segment and when he made that now famous comment "about how life is looking pretty good now that dotty is gone" his lawyer basically yelled "Cut!" and told Jule he couldn't say that because it could possibly incriminate him - Although apparently it was left in the segment anyway
