TVLand's "The Link" answered why The Mary Tyler Moore was not being broadcast, espcially since it was constantly requested, and he graciously provided the following answer.
TVLTheLink: I periodically post information (usually on individual show boards) when a show is not available in syndication. Current shows which are not available to "national" networks are "The Mary Tyler Moore Show", "Emergency", "Adam-12" and "Dragnet". The main reason that a show is not available is that the syndicators are trying to increase the value of the show for VCR/DVD release or insure that the show does not go "stale" with too much airing.]

So does this mean that someone (Fox or anybody else) will eventually release MTM? Maybe after everyone really starts to have a crave for it (like we don't already!)??? That's what I'm thinking, but it's been off air for quite a while, and nobody seems to be releasing MTM right now.

I'm sorry I spelled the topic wrong!!!! It was supposed to be 'Why MTM is not on TV Land', but I must of screwed it up. LOL!! Is there any way to edit that???? Because right now it makes no sense.

Because Dragnet was on TV Land a couple of years ago...I remember watching it...

Is TV Land still trying to bring MTM back or is this a dead issue?

I dont know if this it is too late to say this,but that is really stupid of TV Land.I mean,The Mary Tyler Moore show is on in Canada on TV Land,why cant it be on in the US?
