I am really angry about the last time I bought this perfect strangers set from Angie and I payed 216 dollars for this and the clarity was irritating my eyes, it was so blurry and the picture was bouncing up and down. The sound quality is all thats good in all these episodes but the picture quality is terrible. If anyone is willing to help me out here, I need the perfect stranger 150 episodes set with good clarity so i can actually see the cast and good sound quality.

You better get your facts straight cause you paid only 85 dollars for 12 tapes. And the quality is good and some of it varies but it is all watchable and all described like I said. You probably paid 216 from someone else. I have sent perfect strangers to other people and have had no problems. I would never charge that much money for a show. And I gave you two tapes free in case you hadn't noticed.

And this happend more than 3 months ago.
I ve been trading with angie for a looooooooooooong time.
I know she would not charge that much for tapes. Plus she is very upfront about quality. Gives 100 percent of her time to provide people with fast service .
85.00 for 12 vhs is not bad . Do the math - she has to buy the blanks , the time it takes to record each one in REAL TIME.
plus shipping . She charged 7.00 per tape . when most charge 10.00 excluding shipping charges.
so she really didnt make that much on that.
There's people who charge 35.00 per vhs & up for something rare .
You must have paid someone else 215.00 for those .
thats ridiculously high and she would never do that.

I bought the perfect strangers set from you and you charged me 85 dollars. I watched the first two tapes and they were ok but the picture quality was bad, very very blurry. I could hardly see their faces. Sound quality on all the tapes was very good but only if it had great picture quality, it would've been even better. Without great picture quality, the entire set would be a waste of money. What bothors me the most about the episodes is that they have these lines on the top of the screen that move around like waves and the picture bounces way too much. Its irritates my eyes. I f you can send the entire set again , i would be greatful you did and this time with better picture quality. I also changed my email address.

Have you tried different vcrs? I always check my tapes before I send them out and picture was not bad or anything like you described. I remember you said you had a big big screen tv. That might have something to do with it. I also remember you wanted Alf and I sent you a sample tape before and you said that was good. I will send you 7 tapes of Alf to make up for perfect strangers. I do not like people saying I am a bad seller. But that is all I will send you. I do not think it would matter much if I send you the whole perfect strangers again if it will turn out the same. And I do not have a job or the extra money to do this even. Please send me your info and address to my email Angie21m@earthlink.net
I have sent perfect strangers out to other people and never got any complaints.

Have you adjusted the tracking manually instead of auto tracking?
Just curious what kind of vcr do you have? Emerson= crapola,
orion junk. Try playing it a better vcr.
To me it sounds like dirty heads on angies vcr.Or her vcr is dying. Those tape cleaners do more harm than good.
Is your heads dirty on your vcr? What you could do to eliminate some of those lines & Improve quality is :
Convert to dvd as best you can. Run each episode through TMPEG . It can clean up the noise on the eps crop size as you want. You could even make it 16:9 widescreen .
There are a few people who digitally restore videos.
Another option: But will cost you again.. But worth the investment
buy a jvc vcr with Timebasecorrection . I ve heard it will do wonders. Or a dvdrecorder with TBC . Or buy a TBC unit seperately. It will improve quality.
angie is good person. I m sure she will make it up to you.

I always check the tapes to make sure it wasn't my vcr. And I have 4 vcrs to test tapes on to see what they would look like on different ones and it turned out the same what it should be.
