If you look closely at the part when marcia is going to phone her teacher to tell her she couldn,t get davy jones for the prom,at the same time the doorbell rings and carol goes to answer it.Marcia then starts to dial and when she is finished dialing and waiting for an answer the camera cuts to carol finally opening the door.If you really time it carol should have had that door opened before marcia finished dialing. phlflip.

Yeah but you see Carol was doing the Brady Walk! similar to Carman's Messiah Walk, where Carol thinks about the Brady Life and its goodness, as she chanted the Brady Mantra of:
"Celebs Ahoy! We the Brady's have mentioned Davy Jones 36 TIMES! and I must make an impression so Marcia can No Sell the CheeseWiz Brady Reacts to Celebrities bit they did". This would necessitate her walking slower than normal as she meditated on Brady Life and as Marcia did her bit! Which goes something like:
Marcia's on the phone
Celeb comes in
Mr/Mrs B sneaks them in telling Desi, Davy, etc to quietly come in so as to pull the Brady Surprise!
Marcia (whoever) says "I'll call you right back" hangs up the phone & Now
Sells the CheeseWiz bit I mentioned earlier: "Gosh its Davy Jones!!!"
Or some mess like that http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/biggrin.gif http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
Carman's being a Gospel singer may explain why he did his "Walk for Jesus" but in Carol's case, she had to do the Celebs Ahoy bit to help along this silly show!

Of course in Desi's case, everything would apply except the phone bit; Marcia was in the kitchen.
Brady Mania!

And another point to make.
In Brady Land they didn't have cell phones or touch tone phones.
They had the rotary dials you had to twirl by hand. Blech http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/eek.gif
And then there was a famous ep where Mr. B got a Pay Phone!

At the time one of my favorite things about going over to my grandmother's house was that she had a color TV and a touch tone phone.
I don't remember being over there on Friday nights so I probably never saw Brady Bunch in color in its initial run!
The Bradys in color, imagine that! :)
