There are two rumors surrounding Van Halen as of now. The first being that Sammy Hagar has once again quit the band (and considering how large Eddie's ego has gotten in recent years, I don't think anyone can rule this out). The second rumor is that the band (along with Sammy) are back in the studio recording a new album. Let's just hope rumor two is the truth.

Heard on the radio yesterday that Sammy said the rumors are false. But then again who knows with the Van Halen brothers.:rolleyes: :wave: ;)

I think they should fold. Sammy sucks and those three new songs are an embarassment.

Recently, Alex told a newspaper that Sammy was still in the band and after some down time ro relax, the band will reenter the studio to record a new album. I could not be more happier. I can't wait to hear some new Van Hagar music.

true, but that was in 96, in 99 or 2000, DLR was in the studio with VH again, but that's when Eddie got sick

I'm praying for a new Van Halen album. Even though i much prefer Dave, Sammy's okay i guess. I mean Eddie Van Halen is still Eddie Van Halen no matter who the lead singer is. But, i would love to hear some new Van Halen material. I though the new stuff they had this year was pretty good, not their best, but pretty good.

I agree

One of the reasons I read that Eddie didn't want DLR back, aside from the other stuff, is because of the artistic song writing problems.

According to Eddie, he is at a point in his life where he doesn't feel like singing the songs that DLR was famous for, when he was in the band.

I understand why Eddie feels this way. The man is 49 years old and I can see why he would not want to perform "Everybody Wants Some" or "Runnin' with the Devil".

I know DLR VH was "amateurish" or whatever, but I still preferred that to the corporate AOR of 5150/OU812, tho Van Hagar began to rock with For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge

I hope the first one is true because sammy stinks and david rocks
