He's one of my comic heroes, but man was that hard to watch. He can't even speak anymore. You can tell just by looking at him he's absolutely miserable. :(

That's got to be one of the funniest moments in television history.

Saw the previews for it, but changed the channel because I knew it would be sad. :(

LOL, the one where they try to 'outbigot' each other. 60 Minutes profiled SNL the other night and showed that skit. Lorne Michaels said they could never get away with that today. Classic stuff.

His name sounds familiar, but whats wrong with him? He's had MS for almost 20 years, and it's rendered him almost a vegetable.

Here's a more recent picture of Richard Pryor, with Paul McCartney.

Unfortunately, Richard has been wheelchair-bound since the early 1990s.

It's a terrible shame that Richard Pryor is so ill. He escaped death back in the late 70s with the fire, got his act together, and then this devastating disease.

He's always been one of our comic giants. God, that man's standup was hilarious.

"I'm happy Richard Pryor got the Mark Twain Prize and lived to see it. I read that when he heard about the award he commented, "It's nice to be regarded on a par with a great white man -- now that's funny!" which reassures me that while he may not say much these days, Pryor still knows who he is and where we're at. AKA did you tape that special The Insider did on Richard? When did it come on? I wish i would've seen it. I know Richard is in a bad way right now. It's only a matter of time before he dies. He really looks bad. I didn't know he couldn't speak. It amazes me how so many entertainers use drugs over & over again like they don't know that stuff kills you. I need to rent his old movies he did with Gene Wilder called Silver Streak & Stir Crazy cause i've never seen them. I loved their See No Evil Hear No Evil movie. I didn't like their Another You movie. Moving, Jo Jo Dancer, Harlem Nights are my favorite Richard movies. Critical Condition movie he did is so boring. There was talk of doing a movie about Richard's life a long time ago but nothin ever happened. Damon Wayans & Eddie Griffin have been mentioned to play him in a movie.

EDDIE GRIFFIN SUX. He has been trying to be Richard Pryor like for the longest. He is just not funny. Damon Wayans....semi humorous.

Eddie Griffin doesn't suck. He's funny as hell. Have you seen his Dysfunktional Family standup movie? I was rollin the whole time. His Foolish movie with Master P was funny too. He was funny in Jason's Lyric too. I liked his Malcolm & Eddie tv show. Steve Harvey looks a lot like Richard so i could see Steve playing him in a movie.

It's actually going to be a series on Showtime, and Eddie Griffin will play the lead role.

How awful!:( :( :( A brilliant comic mind robbed by Multiple Sclerosis. He was one of the writers who wrote the great Sanford & Son episode: "Sanford and Son and Sister Makes Three". Richard's one of the all-time greats! Maybe with stem-cell research passed in California last week. I know it will help him greatly.:)
