When I came home from work yesterday, i was unlocking the door and forgot to take the keys out and they were outside the door all evening and all night(5pm to 8am). I didn't find my keys until this morning. I can't believe i did something that dumb. Damm

Damm I do dumb things all the time, just read some of my recent posts here at SO:lol: but recently, I accidently, left my car door ajar when I went to the grogercy store, which was incredilbly lame of me, because the car I own, is quite expensive.

That is kind of bad, especially if someone broke in. I think you got lucky. At least you can remember this so that it will be easier to forget.

I don't think I'll smack you. This guy can do it instead. :p

I stood there in shock for about 3 min staring at my keys hanging outside the door. Defintely the shock of 2004.

Be thankful it wasn't your car and the keys were locked inside. You were very lucky that no one broke into your home.

That isn't so bad, my cousin has left her car keys hanging from the lock of the car before overnight. And she's left her keys in the door as well too :)

*raises hand* I'll smack you. ;)

You were lucky Solomon. Don't you live an an apartment complex? I think I remember reading that in your posts about having items delivered. If so, it's even scarier. In a house, the chances are small that someone will see the keys. In an apartment, all it takes is a nut visiting a neighbor, or even a crazy neighbor.

Glad you're safe.

you shouldn't feel bad, at least the keys were still in the door this morning

That's true, the keys could have been gone and I would have never known i left them in the key hole. That would have been a real disaster

I lose my keys all the time. I always have to set aside 10 minutes before I go anywhere, so I can hunt down my keys.

Yeah, I almost did the same thing recently. Luckily, I noticed the keys in the door about 5 minutes later.
