I was looking up on amazon.com that the original 1955 showing of the "Mickey Mouse Club" is coming to DVD December 7th. The DVD will be as part of the "Walt Disney Treasures" series. It will be on a 2-DVD set filled with extras including the following:

1. Leader of the Club (Jimmie Dodd Tribute)
2. Mouske-Memories
3. Mouseketeers at Disneyland
4. Opening Sequence in Color (not shown until the syndicated version of the "New Mickey Mouse Club" was aired back in 1977.)
5. Art Galleries

Plus a whole lot more.

I think they should bring the original cast back and make them refilm it again, that'd be worth watching, old farts in mouse ears, singing farty songs, maybe even have naughty dvd extras, Mouseketeers boozing it up and getting naked behind the scenes (you know they must have).
