Who's your least favorite character and why?

Oliver. Hands down.

I agree that Cousin Oliver was very annoying. I don't understand why he was added... to improve the ratings maybe? Uggg!!
I liked all the other characters.

i would have to say Marcia as well. She acted to much of a bitch.(pardon the language). but she was just like UGH!!!!!! i hated and still hate her Sooooooo much. and the sad part about it is i don't even have a reason to.but that's alright.

I think that Bobby would be my least favorite character, because he is always so obnoxious, and he is really annoying.

OLIVER! UGH! I cannot stand him! I just don't see it either... why add Oliver? It was unneccesary! It's like adding Scrappy Doo to Scooby Doo... It only made it worse!

"Alice. Its 6:00 in the == morning.
They beeped it out though.

I read his lips & he either said Damn or G--- Damn! He wouldn't have taken the Lord in vain so he probably (it looked like) said damn http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/rolleyes.gif

Can anybody elaborate on that?

I remember hearing Mr. Brady curse once. It was on that episode from the first season when Marsha got him the father of the year award. Mr. Brady walks in the living room and says, "What the hell is going on in here."

My least favorite would be Bobby. He was annoying.

But the worst character might have been Cousin Oliver. The totem pole in Hawaii was also named Oliver. Hmmmmmm

Carol was my least favorite. Her daughter's hair was way too long. She should have made the girls cut their hair. She could have had Alice give them nice short haircuts. Can you picture Alice cutting Marcia's hair?

Greg! Without a doubt. Since Barry Williams wrote his mistake filled Growing Up Brady book I can't stand him or the show (BUT GREG ESPECIALLY).

My least favorite character is Peter. He was
never funny & always felt sorry for his self. Which makes him a week person. Also Jan
she had a bad attitude. I loved Alice whoever
hated her has serious problems. Sergent who looked like & was Alice was hateable though.

Well, I don`t have a least fave character so I`ll put my FAVORITE character. And that is : BOBBY!!! Hes sooo cute!!

Two things - one, there was never any cursing on the show...during the scene (Father of the year episdoe) when Mike enters the living room from the kitchen, he says "What the devil's going on here?", not "What the hell's going on here?". Even the closed captioning (which, granted, isn't always perfect) from that episode confirms the word "devil". So, let's not spread any more rumors about cursing by our beloved Bradys :-) (this comment is in response to an earlier comment on this topic re: Mike's "swearing").


As far as my LEAST favorite character, I would have to say Oliver (isn't he just the most obvious choice?), but Sam the Butcher would be a fairly close second. I couldn't stand that guy...I hated him on Gomer Pyle, I hated him on All in the Family/Archie Bunker's Place, and I hated him as Sam the Butcher. The only good thing he ever did was the voice of Sgt. Snorkel on the old Beetle Bailey cartoons from the 60s.

Let's see...my least favorite of the Nine folks in the Brady grid would probably be...
wow, that's a tough one...but probably Bobby. He could really be obnoxious. But isn't that what little brothers are supposed to be? :-) If not him, then it would be Cindy, since she could be obnoxious as well.

And, to Mike Lookinland's credit, he says that he argued all the time with Sherwood Schwarz about making him (Bobby) do things that a kid that age would never do. So, it sounds like Mike L at least wanted his character to be like a real kid that age. However, Schwarz expained to Mike L that in comedy, things don't always have to be so real, which is also true.

Oliver, Oliver, Oliver! Why did they bother to add him? A bad move.

My least favorite characters on the show are Bobby and cousin Oliver. One thing, Bobby was SO annoying throughout the show except for episode 1. I really don't care that much for the episodes centering around him.

Oliver added NOTHING. He was NOT even cute. Why didnt they just have a baby at that point?????? They had 3 of Carols kids,3 of Mikes kids...they needed a pedigree Brady!!!!

i always hated that little girl with the cat in law and order episode,she creeped me out when i was a kid ,now i turn that one off when its on tv land.

It's cousin Oliver by a wide margin. He was just a goofy little kid who took camera time away from the regular cast members. The plots suffered in order to accommodate him. But with Robert Reed running amuck during this time, scripts were probably loosely written anyways to work around any last minute rebellion by "Mike".

Cousin Oliver. I pretty much liked all the characters on The Brady Bunch.

Of the main characters (not including Oliver) I'd probably have to say Marcia. I don't dislike any of them though.

Seems like the verdict is in, and I have to concur. It was Oliver. I literally cringed during the Oliver scenes.

I liked all the main cast, but if I had to pick a least favorite it would be Peter. I thought Bobby was cute (surprised to see how many folks are hating on Bobby) but Chris Knight got handed a lot of really stupid story lines which made him unlikeable to me.

The "Personality" story ("pork chops and applesauce") was completely stupid

The one with Peter and his "double" was just about the worst episode EVER

Peter's voice changing episode was so annoying. Just sing the damned song, and tell Pete to lip sync his part. Geez!

I'd have to cast my vote for Bobby. The only time I remember laughing at a line he delivered was when he said they did want the prospector's gold.
