3,694 Petrie
Robert S. Petrie wins the race for New Rochelle City Councilman. Congratulations, Mr. Petrie!
Also, allow me to congratulate all of my Conservative/Republican friends on this board who voted for George Bush. It hurts to lose (Ouch!), but as I recall, there's something so validating about your candidate winning! We may not share political philosophies, but we are still all Americans.
Standing together will keep us strong.

PS, Can you emagine how much more often the phone is going to be ringing at the Petrie home now? Poor Laura! Has the answering machine been invented yet? ;)

Thank you, Steve. I know we have been very good about keeping our politics off of this board, but it does feel good to win this one. You are right, we are all Americans and I am proud to live in a country where we can express our views and vote our conscience. I thought John Kerry was very gracious in his concession and did the decent thing. I respect that.

Peetrie wins!
I don't like to air my political views here but since this is the topic:
I don't particularly care for either one of them, but I held my nose and voted for GW. Edwards really bugged me during the campaign. It looked like he was trying to be Bill Clinton, Jr. and that just rubbed me the wrong way.

It does feel good to win. It was getting pretty intense there for a while. I don't think I went to bed until around 2:00am! I'm proud to be an American and I hope that we can work extra hard to get everyone to come together as one nation instead of a nation divided. I also thought that John Kerry handled the concession very well. Congratulations to everyone who won. God Bless the good 'ol USA! patriot:

Being a minor I could not vote yesterday, but I still paid a lot of attention to the election. (I didn't go to bed until after 3 AM eastern time!)
I'm very disappointed with the outcome, but, as an American, I am optomistic about the next four years. May God bless America, President Bush, and Senator Kerry! patriot:

From another Pubbie...thank you! I can't tell you, after some of the political boards I've read both Dem and Pub the kind of hatred going on. THANKS FOR SUCH A WONDERFUL POST!
