I have been on a Friends craze lately. The last few weeks have gone by so slow because I am desperate for the Friends Season 8 box set. It really bugs me that they made us wait so long for this dvd set. We should have had season 8 this summer and gotten season 9 in the fall and the final season in the winter.

Anywho- no use crying over spilt milk! I have been doing nothing but watching the Friends season box sets 1-7 the last few weeks. I am suprised by how strong season 4 is when I look back at these episodes. Rachel is so funny trying to seduce Joshua and Phoebe's pregnancy mood swings are a riot. Top that off with Monica's OCD reaching new levels and all the apartment switching and you have one hell of a season!

I also really love TOW the Proposal and TOW Chandler and Monica's wedding from season 6 and 7. It is soooo much fun owning the seasons on dvd and being able to go back and enjoy them when you are feeling blue.

Is anyone else really anxious about the Friends season 8 box set? I am so crazy I even stoped at a few record stores today hoping someone would be stupid enough to put the DVD sets out early. :crazy:

Anybody have any comments, questions, concerns regarding Friends DVDs or anything realted to this? I feel like I am talking to myself on this board lately. :lol:

Season 8 is late because (a) syndication rights issues had to be cleared up before it could be released, and (b) WB gave us the finale disc in place of another season set for this year. Even if we had gotten season 8 this summer, we only would have gotten season 9 by the end of the year, not up to 10. WB doesn't release them that fast.

And yeah, I've literally been counting the days until the DVD is released. One week from today!!

I hope they include the alternate ending to "Rachel Tells Ross" like the UK DVD did.

And also the scenes from Monica and Chandler's honeymoon plane trip where Chandler mentions the word "bomb" that had to be reshot because of 9-11. But then again, I also loved the new stuff with Monica stealing oranges and stuff so hopefully they will include both.

It's actually not an alternate ending so much as scenes that were removed from the M&C storyline and were shown at the end of the episode on the UK DVD. Monica stealing oranges was always there, the bomb stuff was just removed, not replaced.

Anyone seen the commercials for them? They're getting me even more excited to get these DVDs. Three more days!

Sorry to keep bombarding this thread with new replies (is it that obvious how badly I want this DVD?) but some people are reporting that they already have their copies. Is it shipping early in some places? I'd like to think they're full of crap, but it's been several people telling me this.
