I think Robert Reed was very attractive. I had a trouble watching THE BRADY BUNCH after learning that Robert Reed was a homsexual/gay. Did anyone else? I hate that curley hair style the boys and Robert Reed wore. Who else thought Robert Reed was a very attractive man?

I don't consider Robert Reed attractive but,
I agree that it made me ill when I discovered
he was gay. First of all, I did not ever want to know that. And the fact that I believe that celebrities personal lives are
not anyones business unless brought out by them. In all honesty, I look at him in a very
different way and that is sad because he had
a father image and the damn media killed it!!

I don't know why so many people have problems with the fact that Robert Reed was gay, that shouldn't change how you feel about a person.

My next door neightbor is gay and dying of AIDS, and he is a very kind and good man, and his nephews and nieces adore him. I am so sick of people putting down gays / homosexuals, and having preconceived ideas about them. If you don't agree with their lifestyle that's fine, but it doesn't make them bad people.

This is close to, if not the most ludicrous thing I've ever heard! "got banged up?" "made him gay?" I know we try to boil things we don't understand down to the simplest explanation, but besides the whole Robert Reed lifestyle issue, why do people forget that it is an actor playing a character? I agree, it was a jolt to learn of his orientation, but frankly, it's the show and the feeling of family that the show REPRESENTS that I focus on. Nobody can expect an actor to be a perfect cardboard cut-out or as 4-Square and squeaky clean in real life as on a sitcom.

Robert Reed played a dad. From all accounts, he treated the actors and actresses playing his kids as if they really were his own kids. That the feeling of family extended beyond the show's soundstage is what is impressive to me. Hey, the man was not a rapist, wife beater or murderer. So what he was in real life, I don't care. It's the feeling I got of family and family love that I will always take away from the show, and that's what counts!

I think he's attractive too. So what if he's gay though. That doesn't bother me, personally.

It is really nobodys business what he did in his own personal life as long as he wasn't malasting any of the kids or beating up anybody! But what i didn't like hearing is that he had such a problem with the show's scripts. If he had such a problem with the show then he should have never taken the job!

I must agree with a previous statement. Some of the things I've heard in this thread alone are very disturbing. He "must hav been banged up and it turned him gay"? What kind of ludicrous, closed-minded thing is that to say? No one is TURNED gay. Furthermore, as someone already mentioned, he was a wonderfully nice person to all of the kids on the show, and he was very generous, and they loved him, and their opinions weren't changed, so ours shouldn't be either.

He also did an excellent job as Mike Brady. Definitely one of the more believable parents on TV.

Did you ever see the "Medical Center" two-part episode where he got a sex change? It was weird seeing Mr. Brady in a wig, dress, and heels.

I agree, Mr. Reed was a very attractive man. When I heard he was gay, I was surprised, but it wasn't a big deal. He was a good actor who I believe was well respected and well liked. I guess he argued with Sherwood Schwartz (sp) alot. To me that says he took pride in his work and wanted to do a quality show.

His being Gay did not ruin the show. It still pulls in ratings so it looks like most people don't care.
