Billy Gunn, Test, and A-Train were all released by the WWE today. Test and A-Train had been on the injured list, and Billy Gunn was currently in Rehab for unknown reasons.

Ironically, Test and A-Train were a top tag team back in 2000-2001 known as T & A. All 3 had been with the WWE for years, both Test and A-Train since 1998, and Billy Gunn since 1993, he had been on the roster longer than anyone with the exception of the Undertaker and Shawn Michaels.

Test and Billy Gunn were both rumored to be in the doghouse in the WWE as Test was very injury prone and was going to be out of action for a year and a half with neck surgery, he was also not very likable backstage. Billy Gunn had been in trouble as well for being a problem backstage and also recently was found passed out in an airport which did not help matters. However, A-Train is a shock, he was scheduled to return this month from a torn rotator cuff, but obviously that will not happen.

:lol: Looks like Vinnie McMoney is finally getting rid of some of the dead weight in WWE.

Test is a perfect example of how far size, good looks and wonderful athletic abilities can go in this industry.
In just a few years, Test has won multiple Championships and been linked to multiple WWE Divas. Not a bad combination.

Test came to WWE in 1998 as a hired gun for Mr. McMahon’s Corporation. Besie being a two-time Hardcore Champion as well as a former European, Intercontinental and even WCW Tag Team Champion, Test is also known for proposing to Stephanie McMahon on the series premiere of SmackDown! in 1999.

While that union eventually isolved at the han of Triple H, Test also had a successful tag team run with Albert. The team known as T&A was managed by lovely WWE Diva Trish Stratus.

Whether it’s backstage or in the ring, Test has considerable talent and figures to be making waves for years to come.

One of the most decorated tag team veterans in WWE history, Billy Gunn has earned itinction by winning the Tag Team Championship on 10 occasions with three different partners. His uncanny ability to compete with any partner and succeed has led Gunn to become one of the most intriguing Superstars on SmackDown!
Gunn first won the World Tag Team Championship as a member of the Smokin’ Gunns, where he helped the team to the top on three different occasions. Later, Billy would become not only a member of D-Generation X, but also a part of one of the most wildly successful tag teams in history when he partnered with the Road Dogg as part of the New Age Outlaws. The Outlaws earned the Tag Titles a whopping five times.

When DX disbanded, many wondered if Billy Gunn’s best ay were behind him, but he quickly proved that his success as a tag team competitor had just begun. During 2001 and ’02, Gunn teamed with Chuck Palumbo to earn the World Tag Team Titles two more times. While Billy and Chuck will be remembered more famously for a bizarre publicity stunt involving a same-sex marriage that earned national media attention, they were very much an accomplished tag team at the top of their game.

As physical a wrestler as you’ll ever see, A-Train is a world class athlete that likes to hurt people. A standout football player at the University of Pittsburgh, he signed to play with the San Diego Chargers before turning his focus to sports entertainment. He learned the funamental at Killer Kowalski’s training camp and began competing in 1997 in the New England area. He made his WWE debut as Prince Albert in 1999, teaming with Darren “Droz” Drozdov. For a time, he competed mainly in tag-team competition, pairing with several different partners. In April 2001, he decided to go solo for a while, simply being called Albert. His eciion paid off two months later, when he took a major step forward by defeating Kane for the Intercontinental Championship. After losing the title, he returned to tag-team competition as a favorite of the fans for a few months, but in April 2002, he again decided to focus on singles competition. His mean streak soon returned, and the behemoth let his rage do his talking. He has stormed through challengers like Chris Benoit, the Undertaker, Brock Lesnar and John Cena.
After competing on SmackDown! for the better part of his career, he now plies his trade on Monday Night RAW. The RAW Superstars will now get to see exactly why it is appropriate that he is called the A-Train. For their sake, they better not stand too close to the track when this runaway locomotive makes a run toward championship gold.

Why the hell is WWE donating to TNA? You guys heard about Hulk Hogan, Nash, Hall and Roddy Rowdy there. If the WWE dosen't want TNA to match up to them a few years, I think they shouldn't release anymore stars.

The only way this could hurt WWE is by releasing Billy Gunn, it enables him to reform the New Age Outlaws in TNA, one of the dominant teams in the WWE in the late 90s. As for Test and A-Train, it will not hurt them, Raw debuted 2 new characters last night in Muhammad Hussein and Simon Dean, obviously they needed to release some stars for the new crop.

You can't be serious? Test and A Train never lived up to their potential and Billy Gunn is a washed up has been. Let him reform the New Age Outlaws with Jesse James Armstrong. They should be renamed the old age outlaws, or better yet, The Two druggies.
