Does anyone have tne words to the poem Endora recited this morning on "Bewitched"? I'm interested in the poem itself and also the hilarious lines Uncle Arthur added as well. I laughed my head off when she was reciting and Uncle Arthur kept butting in.
Thanks!

I found the tape I have this episode on which I recorded quite a few years ago.
The poem goes something like this:
"T'was The Night Before Halloween"
(By Endora)
T'was the night before Halloween,
and all who were shiek,
were sipping champagne
(Uncle Arthur- had been stoned for a week)
The witches and warlocks,
In Rome by the score,
with their ladies attired in their best D'ore (?)
(Uncle Arthur- checking their warts as they came through the door)
And the odd little mortals all snug in their beds,
while visions of trick or treat danced in their heads.
Our children were practicing spells and their chants
(Uncle Arthur- and even the poltergeist pulled off their pants)

That was indeed a hysterical scene (and poem!). I loved how Endora finally got fed up and zapped Arthur into the fountain as a statue.

From Eva the cat to the Halloween poem to the one-dimensional house, this episode was a scream from start to finish. Heck, even Darrin began to loosen up after a little while and have a good time. :D

Too bad we never got to hear the rest of the poem - we never did hear whatever happened to the odd little mortals!

Darrin being cool around the in laws were few and far between. I need to watch this episode again.
