I finally went digital! I can get the Goodlife channel, as well as VH1 classics and a gob of music channels! I taped CATM--last night's episode was "Borrowed Trouble"--I could tell right away that it was uncut...
TVLand had the very beginning of that episode where Larry Hovis drives his car in.... But in the uncut version, there's several minutes of dialogue between Ed and Chico before that. It starts with Chico grooving to music on the radio--Ed comes down, rips the cord to the radio out of the socket, and gripes about the Spanish music he can't understand. Chico tells Ed that Spanish is a beautiful language and he should learn to speak it. Chico demonstrates his point by insulting Ed in Spanish and saying it sounds nicer in Spanish. (It was hilarious; Chico was slowly walking around Ed, calling him names in Spanish with a sly smile on his face).
Then Chico was telling Ed they could listen to the Spanish news together-- mimicking a Mexican newscaster reporting the news (...."in other news, tornadoes ripped through 5 southern states...the damage could rise to $1.29!:lol: )
I plan to tape it as long as they keep showing it--when I get a full tape and learn how to dub tapes, I can hopefully start dubbing some for you all! Private message me if interested!

I think I remember that scene. :) I'd love to see the show uncut. They should never cut shows. It's sacreligious... :)

Sounds wonderful! :D I will let you know if you do get to taping them. I have made so many of the cut version from TVLand for other people that I am an expert. IF you need advice, let me know! LOL

I was going through the channels this morning and omg the good life channel was located. I imediately went to saturday and found Chico and the Man was so excited to see it listed again. I imediately set my DVR to record the whole series so I wouldn't miss anymore episodes!:dance: party: :banana:

What time do you get it? What day does it come on? Maybe if you tell me what day it comes on I can slowly, slowly click these channels to see if I get it. :( I have classic VH1 here at home.

It is airing 10pm central time on Saturday evenings

Tonight I got the chance to see Chico and the Man on the Goodlife network. OMG, I laughed, I cried, and smiled so much throughout the show. I noticed a few different scenes and expressions. My husband mentioned to me that he saw Freddie in the background trying to keep from laughing at a particular scene.
