I beleive you are thinking of Growing Pains. Mike Seaver almost married babysitter Julie Costello in 1990. Julie was played by actress & Playboy playmate Julie McCullough. She later went on to play a waitress in the short-lived Robin's Hoods. You should be able to find her profile on imdb.com. Hope this helps.
