View Full Version : Who would you like to see a biopic about next and who would you like to see play them
Cactus Jack 10-31-2004, 10:05 AM Who?
I think there should be a movie about Elton John, Ewan McGregor could play him, he kinda looks like 70s Elton
The Beatles - Hmmm Ill "Get Back" ;) to this one it wouldnt have to be 4 British guys would it?
Hmmm
Jerry Lewis - Either Jim Carrey or Sean Hayes would be good
Billy Joel - Hmmm dont know who could play him? A younger Sylvester Stallone? Nahh
Ill think of more later
webuster 10-31-2004, 12:54 PM Well, they're making 2 biopics on Janis Joplin (at one point there was 3)- hopefully they'll be great.
I'd like to see a Bette Midler biopic- but I dunno if it would be theatrical release or tv. I can't imagine anyone playing her- and, Bette's career is far from over at the minute- usually they make biopics when a person is either dead or not working anymore.
Katherine Hepburn- Cate Blanchett is playing her this year in 'The Aviator'- if that goes well someone might make a whole Hepburn movie- her life was interesting.
Elizabeth Taylor- or has that been done already?
Bette Davis had an amazing life. I think Susan Sarandon might be able to do a good job with that role. But I'd have the most fun casting the role of her daughter, B.D., who was just a brat. Maybe Natalie Portman or Anne Hathaway - they'd have a blast doing that.
I'm really excited about the movie on Bobby Darin, but I do have my doubts about Kevin Spacey... well, we'll see.
Cactus Jack 10-31-2004, 08:57 PM Speaking of biopics they were gonna do a Dean Martin one with Tom Hanks in it
Moonlight Lady 10-31-2004, 10:31 PM John Candy--I would love to see a biopic about him.
crystals 10-31-2004, 11:23 PM Dominique Dunne- Maybe Shannen Doherty could play her. Or maybe Justine Bateman. I can't think of many dark-haired actresses that maybe could resemble Dominique right now. I would love to see a film about her life, though.
Brian 11-01-2004, 12:59 AM If I were a filmmaker (I'm planning on applying to Cal State Fullerton's film school in 2006), I would love to make a biopic about the late baseball manager Billy Martin. That guy's career would make an excellent movie.
SBTB Geek 11-01-2004, 01:12 AM ^That makes me think, has there been one about Babe Ruth?... That will be good film.
-Babe Ruth
-Martin Luther King, Jr.
-Emilio Zapata
-Aaliyah

Billy Martin would be an excellent choice. I would love to do the research on that one. Robert DeNiro would be so perfect for that part. He was great in Bang the Drum Slowly.
I would love to see a biopic on The Supremes. Marvin Gaye's life would be a good one to do. Steve McQueen would be another good movie to do. I think someone should do another movie about Jimi Hendrix, all the others were so weak. IMO.;)
I'm looking forward to the Howard Hughes movie that Leonardo DiCaprio is filming.

There was a 1991 or 1992 film directed by Arthur Hiller. John Goodman was in the title role.
webuster 11-01-2004, 03:32 PM I've only seen two Joan Crawford films- The Women, and Whatever Happened to Baby Jane. She was great in Whatever Happened to Baby Jane, and was very funny in her scene on the phone in 'The Women'. But, I saw a documnetary about her life on tv one day, and it would make an interesting film. I know 'Mommie Dearest' was about her- but it only focused on her daughters book about her.
I'm not sure who could play Joan Crawford in a movie- Uma Thurman's playing her role in a remake of The Women soon.

You know what's funny, is that when she was still alive they asked Joan who she thought should play her if they ever made a movie of her life. She said Faye Dunaway
MandieR1980 11-02-2004, 12:30 AM I'd like to see a movie made about Judith Barsi the child actress that was murdered by her father in 1988.

webuster 11-02-2004, 12:33 PM What was Faye Dunway like in Mommie Dearest? Who do you think could play Crawford now? Dunaway's too old- unless they use separate actresses to play her at different stages of her life.

D-Dey 11-10-2004, 05:53 PM I don't know if I'd want to see a biopic on him, but John Vernon would make a great Herrman Goering.

I Love Carol Burnett! 11-14-2004, 09:41 AM Carol Burnett!! That would rock!!
D-Dey 12-08-2004, 11:17 AM Mark Metcalf would make a good Vincent Price. Don't believe me? See "One Crazy Summer."
I want to see Helena Bonham Carter play Elizabeth Taylor. The b*tch from our time playing the b*tch from yesteryear.
Nighthawk76 12-09-2004, 04:59 PM There should be a film made about Grace Kelly. I think that Kirsten Dunst would be perfect to play Princess Grace.

Sherilyn Fenn already did that in Liz: The Elizabeth Taylor Story (1995) (TV) (http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0113680/combined) They should've hired Deanna Milligan to play Sandy Dennis during the scenes on the set of Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, but the only evidence of her existance on the set they had...was her CHAIR!!

Too late. Cheryl Ladd already starred in that TV movie more than 20 years ago.

I know, I saw that movie. But it was made ten years ago and there's a lot more to the story. Plus I wanna see Helena play more witches. It's more suited to her personality ;)
webuster 12-21-2004, 02:18 PM Does any of the rest of you not sort of get annoyed when a biopic is made about a person still alive? For one, the story isn't complete- more interesting things could happen to the person before they die, and the film won't document it (and few people want to make another biopic about the same person, just to show the final part of their lives on film). I mean, Elizabeth Taylor is really old but she's just as unpredictable as anybody- she is a fantastic actress but for all we know she'll marry Michael Jackson before she dies.
If another Elizabeth Taylor biopic is made, I think Catherine Zeta Jones would be good as Elizabeth Taylor.
Cactus Jack 01-14-2005, 02:46 PM I just thought Vince Vaughn could play Billy Joel, they resemble each other
Id like to see a movie about Queen
A movie about Bob Hope would be interesting. id pick Kelsey Grammer for the part
Id like to see an Elvis one
Id like to see a Beatles one too, but with AMERICAN actors tlaking in British accents, not British actors who no one knows about
ABlairican Pie 01-17-2005, 03:24 PM OZZY.
Cactus Jack 01-17-2005, 05:33 PM OZZY.
I read a couple years back they might do one with Johnyn Depp as Ozzy
