Mine was when I was 17 and I worked for McDonalds. I had this dude name Scott. He was the store manager and he was an *******. He always yelled, bad under pressure especially when it was busy. He yelled in front of customers and made himself look bad. There was a rumor he was on drugs. I think he was. Dig this, one co-worker bit off of a peice of a chicken mcnugget and Scott saw him and wrote him up and threatened to call the police if it happens again! Scott finally got fired for stealing money. Thank god! His replacement, however ended up becoming my favorite boss of all-time.

My second to last bosses (my 3 week boss was a sweetheart). So these people were the biggest idiots known to man. I was smarter than they were and I think they knew it and were threatened by it. Here's an example: when I first started working there, she told me to look thru the computer software's manuel and figure out how to delete customers and consolidate them (some people were in there 3 times or more). So several months later, I'm bored off my ass, so I explore the help menus and such and figure out how to do this. So I do. And I'm not stupid...I wasn't going to delete anyone who had had work done or put people together that didn't match up. Well, this apparently threatened them too much and they yelled at me for it. I quit right then and there. I bring this up when I go back to give dipwads my official resignation letter, and they tell me, "If we don't know how to do it, we just leave it alone." That's how they run a business?! I couldn't believe it.

Then I was accused of not doing anything when there was "plenty of work to do," watching TV all the time (the thing was only on a lot for a couple week...and my bosses often stopped and watched), and not cleaning. I was hired as a secretary/receptionist...not a cleaning lady. They expected me to do nothing but clean. You want a cleaning lady??? HIRE A CLEANING LADY.

That job still gives me nightmares.

The worst boss I ever had was named Mike actually, one of those little ironies in life I guess. He was my boss for a mere five months when I was working at Target as a senior in high school. He was very insulting to all of the employees and would call us all names and that sort of thing. He was also paranoid. He had two exwives and he actually thought that one of them was out to kill him. During the summer I worked overnight in the stockroom with him a couple of times. When we would walk through the store up to the break room, he would make me walk in front of him to check out each aisle to make sure no one was hiding down it ready to attack him or something. By August he had quit to enter the witness protection program.

I've never had a bad boss. I haven't had too many bosses, either.

I never had a bad boss. I've only had 2 jobs so far and I'm actually employed at both of the places now, but only working at one (because of school). At my original job since it's a family owned business I had several bosses. They could be really strict with us, but that's how they ran such a good business. My current boss is a lady and she's very nice. I hope I'll never have to deal with a really bad boss!

I don't have a boss because I don't have a job. I live with my
parents.

My first boss. She would only work me 5 hours a week. Oh well, she doesn't work there anymore.

It would be the boss I have right now. The manager never comes out of his office, so the guy under him is the jerk. He is always talking down to us. He is on salary and never puts in a full 8 hour day, plus he gets a bonus and brags about it to us. He has been caught in so many lies and I now find out he is taking from the company. Not one person in the departmant likes him. He tells people who call in sick to get a doctors note or be suspended, so people come into work sick. A couple weeks ago a lady in the dept. had pneumonia plus she has asthma, missed a day and came back with a doctors excuse. The boss said it was unexcusable because she didn't personally call him. Two days later she had a severe attack at work, the ambulance came and the boss says she should take better care of herself.
