View Full Version : Justin Timberlake = fat?!?!?!?!
Dean Winchester 10-30-2004, 04:18 AM one of my friends came up with the most awkward and insane thing I've ever heard today. He said that Justin Timberlake has gotten so fat in the last 2 years.
Justin is someone who some fans have even questioned eating disorders and drug abuse because at times he gets so emaciated looking. Yet someone is saying the man is FAT?
If Justin is FAT, then who is an example of a "normal" sized celebrity? And if Justin's fat, then aren't those of us who weigh over 150 lbs as good as morbidly obese? lol.
I really hate the way some people will say such insane things about celebrities. Men go through it too, but not to the extent women do. It's really prevalent in the gay community because of all the social cliques (twinks, cubs, bears, etc...)
People forget that comments like this is what killed Karen Carpenter.
julian bozo 10-30-2004, 07:34 AM :eek2: Justin Timberlake fat!!!! If he is considered " fat" I would hate to think what I would be considered. He looks great.

That's true. I've read that early in her career, Karen read a review about The Carpenters. The critic wrote some offhand remark about Karen being chubby (which she was not).
That cruel remark triggered something in her, and we all know the unhappy ending to her story. Losing Karen was one of the biggest losses in the music industry in my opinion. She had the voice of an angel. Imagine the songs she would have recorded that we'll never know about.

Exactly, words can hurt people even celebs. I mean because one person called her chubby it caused a big ordeal. :(
Nighthawk76 10-30-2004, 11:39 AM I am no Justin Timberlake fan, but I wouldn't go so far as to call him fat. He clearly isn't fat.
jamesanthony 10-30-2004, 12:01 PM The media makes a big deal out of weight. Renee Zellwegger looks healthier when she is playing that Brigitte Jones character than when she is her "normal" weight. India.Arie sings, "I'm not the average girl in your video and I'm not built like a supermodel" as if to imply that some would consider her to be too big, but I've seen what she looks like, she's not at all overweight.
spunkygirl 10-30-2004, 12:15 PM Renee Zellwegger, Kate Winslet and Danielle Fishel(from Boy Meets World) are all what would be considered the normal weight that they should be at, yet they're constantly considered fat by people who just don't know when to keep their mouths shut
If Justin's fat, then I guess Calista Flockhart is too

:( I know, I love her voice, to think she could have been with us longer, if someone would have kept their ignorant comments to themselves, all it was was pure jealousy, they needed to tear her down to make themself feel better
Karen was in no way fat, she was beautiful.
Personally IMO I say Renee Zellwegger and Kate Winslet and others are have great figures than like Nicole Kidman and they look healthier IMO.
Superstar 10-30-2004, 12:48 PM Thats just wrong, JT is far from fat
*Pleasant Tomorrow* 10-30-2004, 01:01 PM Maybe she meant, "phat"
-*Forever*- 10-30-2004, 01:08 PM Renee Zellweger looks gorgeous at her Bridget Jones weight, and disgustingly repulsive at her Chicago weight. Yet everyone thinks she looks "beautiful" at her Chicago weight. I think it's just... sickening.
It's like when people say Elizabeth Edwards is obese. Makes me want to go lie in the middle of the road.
I hate our society.
dawsongirl 10-30-2004, 03:34 PM Oh great...that means I'm a cow. :cow: Oh well. *eats fries*
crystals 10-30-2004, 04:24 PM If Justin and Renee are what some people consider fat, I'd hate to see what their idea of a skinny person is.
But, joking aside, it is mean to say a person of normal weight is fat when they're not. It's so sad that Karen Carpenter passed on at such a young age. She was really pretty and had a great singing voice. :(

Some girl even replied to that picture (I found it on Livejournal) and said that girl was fat.
webuster 10-30-2004, 06:02 PM There was actually an article in the paper today where the person writing said they found Renee Zellwegger looked more beautiful in her Bridget Jones shape. The writer went on to criticise the shape Renee is usually at- because Renee said in an interview she was so glad to get to lose the weight again. I though this was harsh- Renee enjoys being thin- nobody should make her feel ugly no matter what weight.
As for Justin Timberlake- he is definitely not fat! Next thing you know someone will suggest Nicole Kidman and Callista Flockhart join a dieting club.

(hope you know I'm being facetious)
Brent88 10-30-2004, 06:11 PM :eek2:
If Justin is fat well then skinny people are invisible. :p
Dean Winchester 10-30-2004, 06:20 PM remember when every week they started showing Calista Flockhart eating on Ally McBeal to battle the anorexic rumors that really were prevalent during the height of Ally McBeal? I remember there was an episode where they wrote in Ally discussing the "perfect cheeseburger", lol
phoebe7165 10-30-2004, 08:08 PM Everybody knows that in the 'celebrity world' that if you gain even 15 lbs., you're considered fat.

Oh my god I can't even look at that. I sincerely hope its fake. Unfortunately, I don't believe this is fake. With an obsession of food and an array of eating disorders, myself, I spend numorous hours a day looking at pictures such as these. Yet still, I cannot conceive of the fact that there are people out there, mostly anorexics, who WANT to look like this. They consider this "perfection" and these photos to be "thinspirational." But I cannot call them "nuts," of course. If I did, I would be a hypocrite. They are in the hands of an eating disorder, and regardless of how intelligent, aware, and/or skinny they are, they will still aim for this emaciated and skeletal figure. (Unless of course, they strive to recover. But recovery isn't easy). It's not a matter of what's "right" or "wrong," or if what they are doing makes any logical sense... nor is it always the case that this person wishes to be thin. Most of the time, it's something emotional, and it lies within the subconscious, which is why eating disorders kill. With that said, I shoulnd probably stop bingeing on this halloween candy, huh?? But alas, I can't......... :(
Oh, and Joyce.. which LJ community did you find this pic at?
