Hi, all.
I saw an episode of ABP with Stephanie and her friends dancing to "Rapture" by Blondie. It seemed so out of place in a living room where Gloria danced to "I Want to Take You Higher" by Sly and the Family Stone ten years earlier and where Mike and Archie argued about Nixon, Vietnam, draft dodgers.
Anyone agree?

Why would it seem strange? Stephanie was from a different generation than Gloria/Mike and Rapture was the #1 song on the Billboard Hot 100 for 3/28/81 which is probably around the time this episode was filmed so it makes perfect sense that is what her and her friends would be listening to.

Agree!! Cool they were keeping up with the times as you said in your post, different generations , different music ! :)I think it was very normal that they would do this ! ;)
