View Full Version : As much as I hate to admit this, the Red Sox winning might be a good thing!

Think about it, who epitomized the Red Sox better than the gang at Cheers? Alot of media attention is now raining down on the city of Boston. With that said, maybe the execs over at NBC will see this and brainstorm this victory in a way to get the whole Cheers gang back for a reunion.

Hell
Yeah

I'm telling ya, February 2005 will be a sweeps month, and also the 20th anniversary of the death of Nicholas Colosanto. PERFECT time for a reunion.

They could set it up like it was October, 2004 and the whole gang is celebrationg the Sox victory. I don't know how you bring back Frasier and Diane, but I'm sure the writers could think of something.

Frasier get dumped by Charlotte when he goes to Chicago.... and decides to move back to Boston. (have him be living there for a few months already)

Diane returns to Boston to write about presidental candidate John Kerry's home life.

And the gang is too busy to notice either of them when the Sox might just win it all.

Ooh great ideas.

And then they could bring in Big Eddie and have Carla rub it in his face. Damn, Carla would have a heart attack.

Perfect! Let's hope that you're right!

The gang celebrating the victory and Diane coming back to write about John Kerry's homelife-- that's, like, perfect! :)

Hahahaha, I'll never praise those dastardly Sox, but if it helps with a reunion then go right ahead. ;)

I can't remember after which series, I think it was after they won the world series when they thank all the camera men and production people, also when they show highlights. The last shot they show is from the theme video of Cheers, with the old man holding up the WE WON sign.

I was kinda of hoping that they would have a camera inside of the real Cheers bar, showing Boston fans rooting for their team & I figured the announcers would mention Cheers at least once, they might of during the first game but I only got to listen to it on the radio.

Not a big Boston fan but Pedro Martinez, Manny Rameriez are 2 of my favorite non Philadelphia Phillies players

Ha, this whole discussion just made me realize how lucky we are that they decided to move the show from Barstow to Boston. The Red Sox losing every world series since 1918 is a great symbolic backdrop for a show about losers.
