Which formally cursed team will win another title first? The Boston Red Sox or New York Rangers?

I have to go with the Red Sox, because of the crappy condition the Rangers are in and the NHL Lockout.

Though I think in 2005, the Yankees will be impossible to beat. With their crappy pitching, they still won 101 games. With an improved pitching staff, they should win 110 games and dominate the playoffs. It is going to be 1998 all over again. There payroll will probably be almost $250 million, 2005 is going to be a boring season for baseball, because of what I think the Yankees will do to the competition.

I think the Red Sox are in better position to win another title first, but they will not repeat.

Ever since there was a World Series a century ago, history has proven that no matter how great a team does during the regular season, the postseason isn't predictable.

The Cubs won 116 games in 1906 but they lost to the White Sox in the Fall Classic. The Mariners won 116 games in 2001 and they didn't even make it to the World Series.

Translation? The regular season and the postseason are like apples and oranges. The best team in the regular season can be beaten by a lower-caliber underdog team. Like the 1998 Padres. They beat Houston and Atlanta (100+ game winners) to reach the World Series.

I honestly don't care  Hey, one Series is enough for me. I'm not going to be greedy!

I know how you feel Kay. I was born in 82, 9 years after the Knicks last championship. If the Knicks win 1 title in my lifetime, I would be satisfied. I wouldn't care if they never won another title.

Not that I am compairing 31 year drought, to 86 year drought.
