Hi, all.

I have never seen episodes of ROWAN & MARTIN'S LAUGH-IN from the show's final season (1972-73). Some people say I'm the better for it. But I am curious as to just how bad it could have been for Nick at Nite to have rerun the shows of 1968-72 but not the 1972-73 year.

Please share your memories of LAUGH-IN's last year--the cast members, the catchphrases, the running bits, the sets, the theme music, anything! Thanks in advance.

Most of the major people who had been in the show were gone (the only ones left were Ruth Buzzi and Gary Owens and oh yeah Rowan and Martin). Dick and Dan's schtick was getting VERY old. Even the funny actors who had joined late (like Lily Tomlin and Barbara Sharma opted out of the last season).
Some of the new people like Donna Jean Young and Patti Deutsch brought in some laughs. But in general the whole thing had become forced and earlier funny regular segments like "The Party" had run their course.

Thank you for your reply. I was wondering who would have been the strongest new people.

By the way, was there a group of dancers named the Burbank Quickies, instead of the female cast members doing the "What's the News Across the Nation" dance? And were there kids, like under 10 years old, in the cast?
