Anybody else have one?

I dont know, it was a sudden big trend at my school to get one. Most people got one simply because they're so popular and were completely oblivious about what they even meant. I have the yellow livestrong one, and am looking into getting the pink breast cancer one just because so many people in my family have had breast cancer. There's also a blue one now, but Im not sure what cancer its for. (I also dont think the pink and blue ones are made by the same people as the livestrongs) So, yeah....

Yes, I picked one up a couple months ago.

I want one, but because they're so ****ing trendy, they're sold out everywhere. I think my friend ordered like 10 though, so I might buy one from her.

I want one too. I just dont know where to get one. Even the teachers wear them. I've also seen people with pink ones...

But yeah, they have become very popular. I have to admit I don't really like the fact that people are buying these because they are "trendy" and are completely oblivious to its meaning, tho. It should be bought for the cause, not so much to look "cool," but that's just my opinion. On the other hand, it's a good thing that adequate amounts of funds are being raised, tho. :)

I dont like them. Everyone and their mother wears one and I dont see whats so great about them. It looks like a giant yellow rubberband to me. Its for a good cause which is great and has nothing to do with it, I just dont like the bracelet.

It doesn't seem to be a trend at the college I'm at...Ho-hum. Anyway, I just ordered a pink breast cancer bracelet a few days ago. I want to support the cause. :)

Oh, I got an awesome breast cancer tye dyed one from VONS. They're selling them for $3 a piece. I work next door so the manager put one on me and told me whenever I had the money to pay for it to do so... that he knew he'd get the money cause I'm always over there everyday. I don't think anyone from my school even knows what it means. Yet everyone has one.

I got mine because of what it stands for - and cos Teresa Heinz Kerry has one :p

I think I saw someone wearing those, but have only seen one person wearing one.


Does it make any of you feel pathetic that it is trendy so you are all scrambling to get one?

i don't want one, its cooler to make your own bracelets.

i've never seen those in my life. i want one.. i like wearing stuff with advertisements and **** on them.

I bought one but I threw it out. This was before they got popular, I was paying for my sneakers at Foot Locker and they asked if i'd like to donate $1 so i said sure. I didn't realize i'd be stuck with some ugly yellow thing.

I think it is a good cause, but everyone who wears them in my school spin them and chew on them and throw them everywhere.

Ive had mine since the summer...but now i have a red sox one too...its annoying though because my friends and I have been wearing these bands since last year (celtics baller bands) and now every place is coming out with one...blah

So even though it's an actual Livestrong bracelet you're not helping the cause at all.

You can go to a bike store and buy the liveSTRONGS, the breast cancer ones you can get at a hospital, all the others are fake so don't bother.

I think they are great because they help raise money for good causes! But, my Spanish teacher told me that if you go into a hospital with a yellow bracelet on your wrist, they can't treat you. It is some kind of sign-like if you have a disease that is going to kill you and it is very painful you can wear a yellow bracelet and if something happens to you, the docotors can't treat you. So, hospitals are having trouble because they have to make sure it is a livestrong bracelet before starting treatment!!!

Some hospitals have color-coded wristbands. A hospital in Florida, I think it was, has yellow wristbands that mean DNR, which means that they can't use "heroic measures" to save you if something happens.

I have one livestrong bracelet; I also got a green one that supports Sudan- the money raised from the bracelets go toward building wells in Sudan so they have water. It's a really good cause and the people in charge have had tremendous success.

Yep, that's why my sister wears one. I've seen they have ones for Breast Cancer now. That's fine, I donated but I told them to keep the bracelet.

Can you only buy them online? I haven't seen them in any stores.....

They don't sell them in stores anymore, however you could order them of laf.org which is the Lance Armstrong Foundation website and also I believe you can buy them on oprah.com and discovery.com. Watch out for fakes though, I bough a couple colored ones at a jewlery stand at the mall and they proved to be fake so thats why its better to order on the websites.
