"Secrets" -- Everyone in the Hennessy family fears the ringing of the phone when they all find themselves keeping secrets from one-another. Rory refuses to divulge the identity of the student responsible for bullying and beating him up at school, which leads Principal Gibb (Adam Arkin) on a mission to find the culprit and tell Cate; Bridget and Kerry use fake IDs to get into a club, where Bridget meets a cute guy and gives him her phone number -- before discovering that he's a cop (Colby Donaldson, "Survivor"); Cate doesn't want the family to know that Bridget's tennis coach, Scott (Dan Cortese), is in hot pursuit to get her to go out on a date with him; and C.J. is distracted and forgets to pick up Rory's pain medication, which leads the pharmacist to call the house to find out if Rory's OK, on "8 Simple Rules," FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 12 (8:00-8:30 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.

"8 Simple Rules" stars Katey Sagal as Cate Hennessy, Kaley Cuoco as Bridget Hennessy, Amy Davidson as Kerry Hennessy, Martin Spanjers as Rory Hennessy, with James Garner as Jim and David Spade as C.J.

Guest starring are Adam Arkin as Ed Gibb, Dan Cortese as Scott, Colby Donaldson as Shawn, Rocky McMurray as door man and Dennis Singletary as Mike.

"Secrets" was written by Bonnie Kallman and directed by James Widdoes.

"8 Simple Rules" is broadcast in 720 Progressive (720P), ABC's selected HDTV format, with 5.1-channel surround sound.

This program carries a TV-PG,L,V parental guideline.

OMG. I loved this episode. I seriously haven't laughed this much at 8SR since John has been gone. To me, the story was great. How they all kept going after the phone to cover up their lies was great. They all blamed it on Long Distance salesmen. LOL The kicker, to me, was the whole C.J "gay" cop thing. Talk about a perfect setup storywise.

CJ:"I don't want to talk about the bar, it's kinda embarrasing".
Cop:"I am looking for a gorgeous blond named C.J"

Everyone looks at him!

Anyway, I was happily surprised by this episode. It was very good.

This episode was good! Better than I expected. I liked the misunderstandings with the phone :lol:

[COLOR=blue]I really liked this episode, this is the best one so far this season. I never laughed so much...Good job. i hope the next episode is just as funny...has anyone else heard that Ed o'niel is coming to 8sr? Not sure what part he os playing but i heard that somewhere!!!....:)
