The next new episode will not air until November.

NBC will be reairing the Pilot this Thursday, October 28th.

My bad, I meant to say "No new Joey this week"

They will be reairing the pilot, I guess.

They always do a week or two of reruns after about six or seven episodes of a new sitcom air. For a returning sitcom, it's even worse: like three or four new episodes, then a week or two of reruns. :(

Besides, "Joey" has only filmed ten episodes so far, with its eleventh episode not filming until the 29th. NBC has to hold over those remaining three for the three weeks of November sweeps, especially after "Joey" got a head start on the season this year.

With the rather embarrassing ratings, I agree they really shouldn't be taking a chance on a rerun just yet, although it did premiere two weeks before the start of the season.

I hope it's not two reruns in a row. I knew they would becoming but i didn't expect them until the last half of November

There's just a rerun on the 28th.

November will always have new episodes because of sweeps.

I figured it would be a rerun on the Thursday before Thanksgiving and Thanksgiving

No. There will be always be at least three weeks of new episodes in November, February and May. November and February sometimes get four weeks of new episodes depending on the year. I don't know if it's three or four weeks in November for this year or not.

There will only be three weeks in November, because of the Seinfeld retrospect on Thanksgiving.

I forgot all about that. Ironic considering my icon.

Well, November sweeps are November 4-December 1 this year. It always seems weird to me the years that Thanksgiving night occurs in sweeps.

Which is not to say that Mother Zucker, keen programmer that he is, hasn't filled up a sweeps period with reruns before. Remember the last week of May sweeps last season?

I'm glad to see the jokes hold up for a second viewing.
I actually prefered watching it tonight than when it originally aired.

Although, Bobbie still wasn't funny to me.... and editing out Alex was a bad move (even though her scenes in the pilot were weak).

They also edited out the scene of him shooting the pilot for his cop show.

Alex was edited out because it originally aired as a supersized episode, and her scenes and the cop show scene were the most disposable when trimming it down to 22 minutes.

I did like that they showed a preview of next week's episode, though.
