To Mike:
Hi Mike! My name is Liz Crasten. I've been one of your fans since "Brady Bunch" premiered in 1969 and I recently heard that you auditioned for the part of Eddie Corbett on "Courtship of Eddie's Father" before getting the part of Bobby Brady on "Brady Bunch". You turned the former part down in favor of "Brady Bunch" and Brandon Cruz got the part of Eddie Corbett on "Courtship of Eddie's Father". Anyway, I was wondering if you ever met Brandon Cruz and if so, do you still keep in touch with him? I think he's a great actor and we can all thank the late Bill Bixby for Brandon's success in show business.
Well, I guess I'll close here. I'd love to hear from you. My e-mail address is: paisleynut@aol.com.

Where did you hear or read that information Liz? I would like to know and include it on my Courtship of Eddie's Father site.

I thought Brandon Cruz was always their #1 choice as they narrowed down the field. 65 boys were auditioned (and 300 applied) for the role of Eddie over a 2 week period. They narrowed it down to 5 and Brandon Cruz was hands down their choice even though he had never acted before. This is what I heard in a Bill Bixby tv interview.
