For the first time since 1987, the Cardinals are going to the Fall Classic.

This will be the third time the Cardinals and Red Sox will face off in October. The first time was in 1946 and the second in 1967, both ending in 4-3 decisions.

The Cardinals will look for their first World Championship since 1982, when they defeated the Milwaukee Brewers, also known then as "Harvey's Wallbangers" in 7 games.

Congrats to the Cards. They took down my Astros pretty good. Even though I'm a National League guy I'm gonna be pulling for the Sox. Something about the curse... Once again-congradulations to the Cards. They earned it.

I'm more of a National League fan than an AL fan, but I'm hoping the Sox win, too. They are long overdue. It's great that they have home field advantage but then I also think about last year's World Series. It'll be a pretty close one, I think.

It would've been really really sweet had the Astros won, but I agree. They played a great game and they deserve it. I'll be cheering the Sox on, too. :lol:

N.L. fan too, but since the Cards eliminated my Dodgers in the first round, I want the BOSOX to take it all the way. :wave:

Damnit! I was rooting for the Astros. I was looking forward to a good Series between them. Oh well. I'll take the Cardinals... easier for us to beat.

Remember the Lakers thought Detroit would be an easy sweep and look at what happened.
