If Unsolved Mysteries was brought back, who would you like to see as host? Personally, I could see Robert Conrad or David Selby do it.

View Full Version : New Host? Thor2000 10-20-2004, 06:13 PM If Unsolved Mysteries was brought back, who would you like to see as host? Personally, I could see Robert Conrad or David Selby do it. justins5256 10-20-2004, 09:05 PM I think I would be a good host. I don't have a trenchcoat though. Seriously though, I vote for Christopher Meloni from Law and Order SVU. He has a creepy voice, experience playing a crime fighter, and a tough stance on crime. Justin crystaldawn 10-20-2004, 11:39 PM You've got my vote also, Justin! My second choice would be the guy that narrates Forensic Files and New Detectives. I don't know what he looks like, but he has a great voice! Bluejay 10-21-2004, 01:35 AM Richard Belzer is my choice. He's accustomed to playing dour crimefighters -- he was even Inspector Henderson on Lois and Clark . He'd look great in a trenchcoat. The thing about him is he's really busy and would have to find time to film episodes between his gigs on Law and Order: Traffic Violations or whatever it is. Eric2000 10-22-2004, 02:18 PM William Shattner...what do you think? he was good on Recue 911 Babydollz24 10-22-2004, 03:28 PM I agree about William shatner. But I also think that creepy dude that played in the candyman movies as Candy Man and he was the undertaker in Final Destination. I don't remember his name, but that guy gave me nightmares, and he has a very creepy voice. Kane 10-23-2004, 11:12 AM I'd say Robert Davi. Although he often plays villians (as he did in films like Goonies and Licence To Kill), he played an FBI profiler in the NBC series Profiler (which ran from 1996 to 2000). He is also a spokesperson for I-Safe, an organization that provides education on staying safe from crime and evildoers. temptation1979ga 10-23-2004, 10:49 PM My second choice would be the guy that narrates Forensic Files and New Detectives. That would be Peter Thomas. He's way up there in age, about 82 or 83 I believe. He was kind enough to send a letter and an autographed picture when I wrote to him and told him what an awesome voice he has and how much I enjoyed his programs. He really is a nice guy. Peter Thomas never narrated New Detectives (shown on the Discovery Channel). You're thinking of Medical Detectives (shown on The Learning Channel). justins5256 10-24-2004, 04:32 PM Originally posted by Eric2000 William Shattner...what do you think? Oh God. Someone mentioned this once before. I think it would be hilarious if the "voice of Priceline" hosted. I can just see it now: "Perhaps you......could help solve......a mystery!" Justin timUM 10-27-2004, 06:41 PM i thought robert urich was the host of rescue 911? Kane 10-27-2004, 07:28 PM Originally posted by timUM i thought robert urich was the host of rescue 911? You thought wrong. He wasn't even remotely involved with that show. But he hosted When Animals Attack in 1996. |
