You're on the wrong forum, since most people here don't smoke.

But to answer the question, Parliament Lights.

Here's a better question. How much do you suckers pay for a pack of smokes?

My sucker husband is forking out close to $9.00/Pack (a pack of 25 cigarettes that is). You would think he would quit at that price, but I guess he enjoys paying the high taxes. :D

I quit when I was 30, and I don't miss it. When I did smoke, it was Newport Lights.

 Whoa...That's way more than what a pack of cigs is down here...I dunno what the price is, tho, since I don't smoke. I figure maybe....$3.50-4.50? I honestly don't know.

Well there's no excuse not to quit up here. Since the nicotine supplements (nicorette gum, nicotine patches, etc.) are dirt cheap up here. The Quebec gov't cut those prices, and forwarded the cost difference to the cigarettes. :)

i dont even understand why people choose to start smoking. it really has nothing but negative effects. sucking all that **** into your lungs is the grossest thing i've ever heard of. my mom smoked (and it killed her) and i couldnt be in the same room when she did because i couldnt stand breathing in the smoke. it's just a disgusting and unnecessary decision to make.

I dont. But Virginia Slims Luxury Light 100s has a pretty box. As does the menthol one.

As for prices: Marlboros, Kools, Mistys, Pall Malls, Capris, Parliaments are about $2.50 ($26/carton); Camels, Benson & Hedges, Vantage, Lucky Strikes are about $3.50+ ($35/carton). This is at the Shaws I work at in Conway. Up here in Maine theyre a bit more pricey I assume.

$4.76 for Marlboro 100's, which is what I usually smoke, but then when I'm sick, I'll cut it to Misty Lights for $3.25 a pack.

God no wonder I always have bronchitis. But seriously, I haven't smoked in over a week, which is execllent for me. For the past month, everytime I've smoked, I've always puked afterwards. I was basically puking half the day. After 4 years of on/off smoking, I don't think my body can take it anymore.

But I really don't care. I'm turning into one of those annoying non-smokers again. I hate people blowing that **** in my face.

When I did smoke, I started off with Marlboro Lights; then I started to smoke Winston Lights..I finally gave up this horrendous habit in July, and have not smoked a single cigarette since July 14th..

It is such an UGLY habit..

Let's see, I tried many brands when I was a smoker.

I smoked the entire colors of Marlboro, lights, reds, mediums (do they still make those) and Newport lights. When I moved to New York, I smoked American Spirits because that's what my friends smoked, and they were very hip, but they were too harsh, so I switched to Camel for a while until I quit.

The prices have gone up a lot since I quit. A pack was almost 4 bucks when I gave it up.

And I know how smokers say how it's annoying to hear others telling them how awful it is, but when I do tell people that, it's just because I care. I tell my aunts who do and they just treat it like I'm harassing them. It's like...Christ, I want you to maybe keep an extra few years on your life, and make it a healthier one, but it's like some smokers don't see that. And it's not like there's anything in it like there is in alcohol (which still is bull**** to get addicted to) to make you WANT to do it more. It's just a thing people want to try for stupid reasons, and there IS only bad effects. ****ty skin, ****ty smells wherever you go, ****ty teeth, ****ty voice, ****ty breath AND hurting others around you. I don't get the point.

I'm going to get my ass kicked for this post. *plays more Danny Eflman symphonies*

...I used to smoke Number 7 Lights, Camel Lights, Camel Reds, or Marlboro Lights

The thing that boggles me, though, really...is even starting it in the first place. I totally understand the whole addicting, no control problem and that has got to suck.

Yeah, because after a while, to certain people, smoking ****s your stomach up and makes you nauseous and puking all the time.

I've actually never smoked a cigarette in my life. I used to have a problem smoking other things, but we won't get into that now.

I quit when I turned 40. 20 years of gooping up my lungs was enough! Best thing that I have ever done!

I smoked Kent 100's .

Well, back when I was growing up(50's and 60's) smoking was considered very sophisticated and glamorous. I thought that it looked cool. So I was going to smoke too! Advertizing can be very persuasive. Even on some of the old game shows(I've Got A Secret, What's My Line, etc.) cartons of cigarettes were given as part of the contestants winnings!

Mmm which brand? Djournim Black's are great, but I can't even smoke cloves anymore. I can't smoke any cigarette at all without puking! Oh well. That's a good thing.

And yes, it's me, Marlene ;)

I agree. I figure we breathe enough **** as it is, if from nothing else but vehicle pollution.

I feel the same way about booze too. It really doesn't have any nutritional values (well, besides Red Wine and cholesterol). So I figure it would be no different to flush a $5 down the toilet. At least soda has a fair amount of water in it.

Well, whenever someone tells me that smoking is bad for me and i know that the person drinks alchochol i say well drinking damages your liver so stop drinking, the liver is a major organ just as your lungs is.
