View Full Version : Full House on DVD
-*Leah*- 01-07-2004, 10:42 PM Alright, from the last poll, I can see that several would like Full House on DVD, and as I did on the 7th Heaven board, I thought that I would make a sticky where someone that checks the site(tv-shows-on-dvd??) could inform everyone what the numbers are for Full House. I think I asked Biker Chick/Jo Fan, to do it at the 7th Heaven board, and since you made the poll here about it, I was wondering if you could please keep us updated. I would really appreciate, as probably the rest of the board would. Thanks!:)
james_baby87 01-08-2004, 06:17 PM Sure I'll do it.

ClassicTV4Ever 01-16-2004, 10:42 PM Wow, it's really getting up there on the rank. I hope Warner Bros. gets the hint soon and releases season sets. Now that I've started recordding N@N episodes starting with the first episode, with my luck after using up a whole bunch of tapes a DVD announcement will be made. Just watch, lol. I guess I could always just record over them or put them away if/when that happens.
musicradio77 01-16-2004, 11:10 PM Maybe in the future if Warner has the rights to release "Full House" on DVD, they did very well first with the Mary-Kate & Ashley's "So Little Time" sets.

Jokerette 01-31-2004, 12:29 AM I long to see Full House released on DVD but only in season boxsets. Please, for the love of god, no "best ofs" disks. Best Ofs are a real rip off and really annoying. Either release a whole season or nothing, IMHO.
tvlover11 02-19-2004, 04:25 PM I think its dumb how one season wonders and widely ignored shows are on DVD, like So Little Time and that Adult Swim show with the talking cartoon foods, and shows that went on for many seasons and are adored by fans arent, like Full House and 7th Heaven.
dc3lw2006 02-20-2004, 02:57 AM Man I would love to see Full House on DVD. I'm taping them right now, but having them on DVD would be even better.
musicradio77 03-01-2004, 10:05 PM I'm trying to dig through one of my video tapes and find some of them I want to save and some of them I don't. Maybe I could tape over some of my movies. The only ones I keep is the specials. Someday, if I can buy a DVD recorder, I could make copies of episodes from mixed seasons along with my favorite game show "Match Game". I love making these two shows back-to-back on DVD.
*~Tisharra~* 03-13-2004, 01:56 AM I'd love to see Full House on DVD but I think I heard that it already was on DVD based around the "Switched Up" episodes with Scott Weinger on there. Jodie guest starred on the show and showed the girl Scott was switching places with a DVD of Full House so who knows, they might be selling them somewhere unless that's her own personal DVD.
katiekat 03-20-2004, 02:15 PM I know I would buy the DVD sets. Simpsons has had how many seasons and they're releasing box sets. Full House is still well loved and people would buy them. I'm all for it!
Packard459 03-24-2004, 09:36 PM i need full house and fresh prince on dvd...2 best shows ever
tgc225 03-24-2004, 10:51 PM Full House has moved into #13, with 1447 total votes. If you look at the top 10:
Show Name | Year | # of votes
Charmed 1998 4686
Seinfeld 1990 3519
MacGyver 1985 2736
Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman 1993 2719
Beverly Hills, 90210 1990 2631
JAG 1995 2447
Golden Girls, The 1985 1762
Keen Eddie 2003 1758
That '70s Show 1998 1725
Adventures of Brisco County Jr., The 1993 1499
You can see that #10 has 1499 votes, just a little more than Full House has. If Full House just gets a surge of votes now, it can easily move into the #10 spot.
tiff7 03-26-2004, 04:37 PM They should release Full house on DVD-I have Cheers on DVD-Seasons 1 & 2-I'm gonna get season 3 when it comes out in May-only 2 months to go@
Tiff7
P.S. Have a gr8 weekend y'all!
Rhiannon 03-27-2004, 08:57 PM I would definately buy Full House on dvd if it was released.
FHFan 03-30-2004, 06:48 PM hmmm...could someone post a link to that voting page? I can't seem to find it? am I just looking to hard, therefore overlooking it? LOL
tgc225 03-31-2004, 12:20 PM You have to register first. Then go to the TV Show Voting section, and search for Full House.
FHFan 03-31-2004, 06:27 PM ok, found the link. now i'm waiting for them to e-mail me a password!
tgc225 03-31-2004, 06:36 PM Alright, great :) Sorry for not being able to get back to you about the Jodie Sweetin clip. I was busy this past week and I forgot about it. If you still want to try sending it over AIM, let me know. Otherwise, you can wait and in a few days I'll have it on my website. The only problem is, I don't know how long I can keep it up, because videos really kill my bandwidth :(
james_baby87 03-31-2004, 07:16 PM ok I know I'm supposed to keep ya'll posted but been busy lately
Woah, Bow Meets Worlds out this is cool!\

It's ok, Mike. I will wait until you put it back on your website...I will check every now and then, so hopefully I will get a chance to download it before your bandwidth runs out this time (if that's the case, I will let you know and hopefully we can try the AIM thing again, lol)! :)
tgc225 03-31-2004, 08:59 PM I'll try to let you know first :) Ideally, I'd be willing to do AIM transfers for most people, simply because it saves the bandwidth from my host. If anyone is wondering by any chance, I have 3000MB on bandwidth transfer a month. The video is about 20MB. So 150 people downloading it means my bandwidth is filled for the month. That, of course, doesn't include the fact that the website itself takes up some bandwidth too. The hosting is pretty cheap ($20 a year), though I got really lucky with this deal. Many hosts that I've seen restrict your site if the majority of your bandwidth transfer comes from file hosting, my current one doesn't.
I might make the clip shorter when I rehost it, since the last 30 seconds don't even have Jodie in it.
FHFan 03-31-2004, 09:17 PM Yikes! That would run out fast! I won't download it from your website then, lol...that will give somebody else a chance to get it. I have my AIM up if you'd like to send it when you have some time. [Edit:] ... for AIM. :)
tgc225 03-31-2004, 09:32 PM It's alright, you can download it from the website. There will probably be less people this month. In addition, I can cut out the end of the clip, and I can get it down to 15MB. But I will try to contact you through AIM and see if that works.
But yeah, hosting can get expensive, especially with hosts who don't restrict file hosting. Like I said, right now, I pay $20 a year for hosting (which is extremely cheap), and $8.95 a year for the domain name. To find a good host with double the bandwidth transfer monthly, you'd probably have to pay something like $35-$40 a year.
That's why I really appreciate people who have a lot of images and multimedia on websites, they're really dedicated and willing to pay money out of their own pocket for the good of the community :)

Moonlit_Suburb 04-04-2004, 02:18 AM If this show were sold on DVD, it would sell like hotcakes. I'm sure WB will release it eventually. It is an extremely popular show with many seasons, so they'd make a pretty penny on Full House DVD sets.

fenix 04-26-2004, 03:21 AM I have season 8 complete on DVD ( 3 disks, 8 episodes per disk - no commercials) I'll have season 1 done in about a week, and 1 season every couple weeks after that. They are all excellent quality recordings. If you are interested, email me.
BTW - Part of the reason SLT is out on DVD and Full House is not is probably because of the different production companies. SLT was a Dualstar production, Full House was not.
musicradio77 04-27-2004, 09:16 PM Originally posted by fenix

"Full House" did belong to the Lorimar (Seasons 2-6 only - Lorimar/Telepictures - Season 1 only) package, not Dualstar. Because the Olsen Twins created that company since 1992.:)

musicradio77 08-28-2004, 11:10 PM And finally, a picture of the season 8 DVD's featuring a bonus "Behind the Walls of 'Full House'". More on the way after I will continue to make the "Full House" DVD's of seasons 6 and 7. Season 1 will hold it because the episode "The Miracle of Thanksgiving" will be shown anytime soon before it get complete.:)
swedeace 08-29-2004, 02:50 PM Have you ever thought about creating a website to showcase all your creations? I would think it might be easier to organize and show off your collection than posting in all DVD-related posts of your collection. Just an idea, I guess.
IAlsoLoveRaymond 09-03-2004, 09:02 AM With the popularity of the Olsens, a Full House DVD is long overdue. I can't believe Boy Meets World is getting a DVD before Full House.
IAlsoLoveRaymond 09-03-2004, 09:12 AM Did they ever release Perfect Strangers on DVD? It always seemed to me like Perfect Strangers was the more popular of the shows made by this company, and a Perfect Strangers DVD would precede a Full House DVD. I posted this question on the Perfect Strangers board, but I might actually get a response here since this board is more active.

No, I don't believe it's released yet. To see a full list of shows released on DVD, go to: http://www.tvshowsondvd.com
Corizzle 09-04-2004, 04:18 PM Just an update on Full House voting:
Unreleased Rank: 7th
Overall Rank: 13rd
Total Number of Voters: 2533
It will keep moving up the Unreleased List too as #1 on the list Charmed will be released in 2005, and Wonderfalls #6 will get released in December of this year.
Full House, Family Matters, and Fresh Prince need to be released!
IAlsoLoveRaymond 09-16-2004, 01:48 PM Fans unite! Go to www.rateitall.com and cast your vote for Full House on my list of Shows that should release a DVD.
musicradio77 10-06-2004, 07:01 PM I'm also in a process of making a season 1 DVD right now. The one episode I like to see on Nick at Nite is "The Miracle of Thanksgiving". That might be great attachment to add these episodes onto 2 seperate season 1 DVD's.
musicradio77 10-09-2004, 09:15 PM I just completed the season 1 episodes onto two DVD's. 18 episodes on disc 1 and 3 more on disc 2. I also haven't complete the season 6 episodes because I have the 18 episodes complete in season 6 and the second disc is nearly complete except couldn't find the episode on my VHS tape which is called "Prom Night". I don't have that episode. I'm looking forward to that soon. I'm also going to make season 7 episodes on 2 discs. I'm preparing soon.:)
musicradio77 10-11-2004, 12:58 AM Guess what, I finally completed the season 7 episodes on both DVD's. The only thing I have left is the last incomplete season 6 episodes on disc 2. The one episode I would like to look forward is "Prom Night" that I like to make and I will finish it up with "The House Meets the House". This is going to be complete soon to finish the entire "Full House" DVD.:)

ClassicTV4Ever 10-20-2004, 04:03 PM I am so excited about this news! It sure would be nice to see the original uncut episodes with the original long openings again :)
G-Force Glockstar 10-20-2004, 05:20 PM REALLY!!!
YAH!!! :)
~zackattack~ 10-20-2004, 05:38 PM YAH!
musicradio77 10-20-2004, 06:26 PM Wow! I like to see the long extended openings instead of the syndicated ones. I'm nearly completing the "Full House" DVD collection filled with Verbatim's Digital Movie DVD-R.:) I hope that "Prom Night" will air on Nick at Nite anytime soon until I will finish the episode of "The House Meets the Mouse" if I will complete season 6.:)

You're putting yourself through an awful lot of work for cut up episodes :( Why not wait for the season 1 DVD which will be uncut :)
DVDFreaker 10-20-2004, 07:20 PM It's about time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D
ILuvZackMorris 10-20-2004, 08:36 PM this really shows what the perseverance of fans can do, right? :D

Ditto! These DVDs are long overdue, IMO. Its nice to see WB releasing more sitcoms other than Friends. (The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air is coming next year too) I dunno if WB owns the rights to Growing Pains, but if so, I bet that'll eventually be coming to DVD as well.
G-Force Glockstar 10-20-2004, 10:15 PM Just Season 1 or more?

Blossom 10-21-2004, 05:05 PM Well, thats cool but here in Europe we would not see the smoke of the DVDīs. :( Only a few american sitcoms is released in PAL region 2 format so I guess I never get the chans to see FH at DVD.
But what you guys think will be at the DVD? Just the episodes (well, thats not gonna be so but just for exempel) or intervjues with the old cast and crew?

Anyway even if you hate Season 1 I HIGHLY SUGGEST that you buy the DVD for two reasons
a) help the sales
b)its always nice to see uncut episodes

anyway at least they r having dvd's
i wonder wat behind the sceans stuff the will have
swedeace 10-24-2004, 01:34 AM Wow!! No freakin' way!!! This is TOO cool!!!
Blossom: Do you have a DVD-ROM on your computer? If so, you'd be able to watch the Region 1 DVD on your computer. ;)
jamier42 10-24-2004, 06:14 PM I am so excited about Full House coming on DVD I have been waiting for this to happen.
Blossom 10-24-2004, 06:43 PM Swedeace: Thanks! Yes I have a DVD Rom at the computer so I guess I can see the DVD at the computer. Or maybe see if some of my familys DVDīs are region free. But I donīt think so.
Somebody252 11-08-2004, 11:12 AM Awesome. ANd, hey, if you don't like the first 2 seasons, now you don't even have to watch them! Send them to your friends/board mates in Europe and Australia! Doesn't that work out perfectly? I'm sure some of the people would be wiling to pay the cost +shipping/handling, and all it takes is a money order.
That'll help the sales and also help your friends.
ALthough, to the European/Australian fans, could you order them through the company, you used to be able to go through the publisher for books like Peanuts, Family Circus, etc., with the old comic strips.
The address - and e-mail so you can all send a big thank you (which will also get them out faster) is:

E-mail: whvcustserv@emsi.echomail.com
You can also e-mail what ou'd like to see, commentary, etc.. Those of you who dislike how Michelle was almost never shown being punished/how Danny was so lax can even request comments about what D.J. did. I have already pushed the idea I read on a yahoo group that the chores in "All Stood Up," together with revoked privileges, were kept on a ledger D.J. used. She or Michelle would dare the other in something, with the loser getting some chores or something - but those chores were then held in reserve till Michelle did something wrong & Danny did nothing. D.J. would then react by making Michelle do some of her chores or taking privileges away.
It's a clever idea, though there are also times I think it could be argused Danny did remove privileges but we don't see it; the bath she got after going through those samples being one w/no bubbles & no toys int he tub, then no dessert later, a very good logical consequence for a near 4YO.
ANyway, sorry to change the ctopic there, so I'll get off the tangent and back to the original, this is indeed awesom. I'd like to see some bloopers, too.

musicradio77 12-06-2004, 06:21 PM I looked it up on Zap2It.com that the episode "Prom Night" is at Saturday afternoon on ABC Family at 12:30 PM. I programmed it on my DVR so I can copy it to a DVD until "The House Meets the Mouse" is finally complete, so that I can have the whole season 6 DVD on 2 discs. Pictures on the way soon.:)

musicradio77 12-11-2004, 04:26 PM I finally completed the "Full House" Season 6 DVD. I added the episode "Prom Night" and ends with "The House Meets the Mouse". Now I have the whole season sets. I'll have some pictures later on.;)
musicradio77 12-11-2004, 08:28 PM This is the entire season sets that I made on DVD. The complete sets has 15 DVD's. Each of the two separate discs has every season in order.
musicradio77 12-11-2004, 08:30 PM These are the two boxes has every season episodes. Seasons 1-5 (10 Discs) Seasons 6-8 (5 discs) and the last half of season 8 (1 disc).
Full-House-Fan101 01-25-2005, 04:37 PM I have no clue  if someone already said this, but, The Full House Season 1 is coming out to DVD February 8th of this year, 2005.

Coory 01-25-2005, 09:19 PM Yes that has been said. Many times.
Oh yea. It looks like your new Full-House-Fan101. Welcome to the board! Its good to have you hear. We need more posters.
musicradio77 01-26-2005, 01:53 PM Full-House-Fan101, welcome to the board. I have lots of episodes of "Full House" on DVD-R. There's only one thing I like to see is the unaired pilot with John Posey as Danny Tanner. It's probably on the complete season 1 DVD edition. It comes out in about 2 weeks.
spunkygirl 01-26-2005, 04:37 PM We have 2 threads dedicated to the Season one DVD.
Not anymore, I merged the two threads together :)
G-Force Glockstar 01-29-2005, 09:48 PM I don't think I'm getting the FH DVD :(
Oh well.
Coory 02-05-2005, 02:38 PM I just saw the first commercial on ABC Family for it. Only 3 days......
ILuvZackMorris 02-05-2005, 02:43 PM I saw it, too! Tuesday can't come soon enough! :D :D :D
*crosses fingers hoping Target has it on sale at a reasonable price*
Coory 02-05-2005, 02:47 PM I ordered mine off of Amazon sop hopefully it will be here Tuesday or Wednesday.
ILuvZackMorris 02-06-2005, 10:29 PM None of the sunday ads have the dvd set mentioned in their advertisements.......I'm still planning to get the set at Target though. Will everyone report what they paid when they get it Tuesday? It'll be interesting to compare.
*hopes for a price UNDER $30*
G-Force Glockstar 02-07-2005, 07:23 AM I just remembered it's coming out tomorrow. I can't get it though.
swedeace 02-07-2005, 10:30 AM Is there a commercial being aired?! Cool!
I need to set my VCR to catch it. I've been so busy that I haven't had a chance to watch much TV. :P
Yay!! Tomorrow!!! I doubt I can get it tomorrow on its first day. :( I may not have a chance. If not, I can get it Wednesday evening. ;)
swedeace 02-07-2005, 11:07 PM I saw the commercial this evening!!! It wasn't on ABC Family, but I saw the one on Nick-at-Nite! Is it the same one, btw?

Karen* 02-08-2005, 02:00 AM I can't wait till tomorrow! I'm gonna head to the mall right after school to pick it up! Can't wait to see the bonus disc with Step by Step too! :D
ILuvZackMorris 02-08-2005, 06:18 PM I am watching the unaired pilot right now. Basically its the same as the Bob Saget and co one, but with John Posey as Danny and different babies as Michelle. And maybe a few lines changed in the script.
My parents found it for me for $21.96 at Walmart, but I think prices differ depending on where you live.
musicradio77 02-08-2005, 06:32 PM My parents found it for me for $21.96 at Walmart, but I think prices differ depending on where you live.
I know that, the DVD was already out today, If I want to see the unaired pilot, I can either rent it or try other programs such as Bearshare and other stuff from the website.:)
ILuvZackMorris 02-08-2005, 07:11 PM the dvd is copy protected so I seriously doubt you can find the unaired plot on a filesharing program. Its worth buying it - there's commentary on the pilot episode. And the first two episodes have the extended opening that ABC Family sometimes airs.
Its really worth it - you won't regret it if you buy the set!
On the end of the commentary, Jeff Franklin said if you took time to turn on the audio commentary and lasted the whole episode, you are really a Full House fan. :)

That's a bit illegal ;)
ILuvZackMorris 02-08-2005, 09:05 PM That's a bit illegal ;)
I have to agree with Lola Dane. After waiting what seems like forever to get the show on dvd, I am willing to buy all 8 seasons on dvd. I watched 3 episodes so far and all 3 have the extended opening we don't ever see.......except that rare time when in syndication they chose to show it.
I guess I'm the only one that wants season 1 to sell well, so we can get seasons 2-8 without waiting 20 years :(
Brent88 02-08-2005, 09:09 PM That's a bit illegal ;)
and?
Unless I misunderstand, even recording something directly off the TV is illegal, but everyone does it. :p

Well... if I bought all the DVD sets I wanted, it'd cost hundreds of dollars, I can get unlimited DVD rentals for about $18 a month on Wal-Mart's website(up to 3 out at a time), so it's working good. I only have them for long enough to do that and then I send them back.
Coory 02-08-2005, 09:30 PM In the unaird pilot its the olsen twins playing Michelle. Jeff talks about it in the comentary. Also all of the episodes have the extended origional opening. Ive watched a few from all the cd's. Also in the unaired pilot some of the lines actors lines are different. And in the unaired pilot opening has Full House written in a straight line rather than the Full on top of the House. At the end of the unaired pilot they use the shortened theme that has the season 8 AAAHHHHH in it after whatever happened to predictability part. I could babble on about alot of other things I noticed lol. but thats all for now.
ClassicTV4Ever 02-08-2005, 10:09 PM I'm watching my set as I type this. Almost done with disc 2. I can't believe how much stuff had been cut in the syndicated episodes. It's great to see these episodes in full again.
ILuvZackMorris 02-08-2005, 10:13 PM Keep posting your thoughts on the set. I need to get back to disk 1. I love the art on the disks! Disk 1 is Uncle Jesse. Disk 2 is ?Danny? Disk 3 is the girls (?) and then disk 4 is Joey. I know Disc #1 is right. And I am so glad its 4 discs instead of 2 double sided ones. :D
I just hope the next sets (which surely we'll get if this set SELLS well) has more commentary and extras. I want commentary from the girls (on the "those better not be the days" episode from season 3 (?) ). And I would love a blooper reel. This set is nice for the price. I just hope the next sets are nice as well.
Coory 02-08-2005, 10:46 PM Its selling pretty good I think. It was #9 on Amazon's top 10 a couple days agao and thats before it even came out. So that has to be a good sign.
G-Force Glockstar 02-08-2005, 10:53 PM Seems cool :D
Karen* 02-08-2005, 11:33 PM I love this DVD! The show premiered a year before I was born, so it's nice to see the original openings, episodes, etc that I never saw in syndication. I hope this set does sell well so that the other sets will come out soon too! Great job WB!
spunkygirl 02-09-2005, 03:48 PM WOW Full House is now ranked at #6 on amazon.com. I see more seasons coming really fast

musicradio77 02-09-2005, 05:55 PM Does anyone know whether the audio is in stereo (especially the theme song)?
Tgc225, you're back! I missed you since your last post. I was just trying to tell you that I would like to see the unaired pilot of "Full House". By the way, the DVD set contains loads of special features. I wanna get the real copy but I would just ignore the Season 1 DVD-R episodes that I copied off of TV. I'm dying to see it if I can buy it.
barwars 02-09-2005, 07:54 PM I opted not to pick it up at the store yesterday.... but will definately get it (especially considering it's $10 more back in the WB rebate)
Karen* 02-09-2005, 10:47 PM Does anyone know whether the audio is in stereo (especially the theme song)?
It's actually in mono, but it doesn't sound too bad. :D
ILuvZackMorris 02-12-2005, 12:14 AM Has anyone watched "But seriously, Folks" yet? I noticed they had this Elmer Fudd joke that Joey does. But I don't remember that joke on the syndicated episode! I didn't realize how much they cut out for syndication............ if ABC Family and Nick at Nite would take less commercials..... maybe they would have a little more room for some stuff that they edit out.......
*enjoying the dvd set but wishes there were a few more special features*
Coory 02-12-2005, 04:05 PM The re-runs have cut out ALOT of stuff ive noticed.
Jonathan 02-12-2005, 04:11 PM Do you have some examples of the cuts, Coory?
ILuvZackMorris 02-12-2005, 04:19 PM Well, in Danny's Very First Date we find out it was JOEY that asked Pam out. He was Danny's "go to guy" for romance advice. There are a few more things like the one where Joey gives up comedy, Michelle got the complementary headband from a day care center! And there are some other things, but I don't remember all of them.
In "A Pox in our house" Stephanie says "goodbye chicken pox prison hello ballerina"
Does that help?
Coory 02-12-2005, 07:48 PM And in 7 month itch it shows Jessie gettng ready to go ski and then it shows danny and joey playing basketball in the living room and inin the one where DJ tries out for the commercial and stephanie winds up getting it it shows before DJ went infor the tryout other kids trying out and them waiting and they ask DJ for a picture and resume and she dosnt have one and Stephanie draws a Charlie Brown type picture of her. There alotta other stuff thats been left out but I cant think of it all now.
ILuvZackMorris 02-12-2005, 08:03 PM Yeah, there is so much they left out..... makes me wonder how much other stuff they have left out e.g. in season 2, 3, etc.
I don't even remember some of those scenes from the first time they were on television, so I must not have watched regularly until 1990/1991 because I remmber birth of nicky and alex in season 5? was originally one hour long and they had Becky touching her belly and wondering if she was having labor pains.....just to herself wondering.....
I'll try to watch each episode and make a list of what was left out that I can remember.
Coory 02-12-2005, 09:15 PM Yea in that same episode it was Michelle's 5th bday and it was kind of a transition episode symbolizing Michelle not bieng "the kid in the family" anymore. Now shes growing up. It also had a way longer then normal opening with a very rare version of the theme song thats real long and it showd shots of the whole family from past episodes.

Here is the extended season 5 opening. By the way, ABC Family showed the extended openings in these two episodes "Easy Rider" and "Happy Birthday Babies (Part 1)"

swedeace 02-14-2005, 01:07 PM I'm still watching all the episodes when I have time. I have been so busy helping with my dad at his apartment, and I have my DVD player at my apartment. I am watching them one-by-one!
I got to watch some more episodes yesterday - wow! So many little edits here and there!
I just loved how they showed DJ, Stephanie, and Jesse waiting at the audition in "Sisterly Love." It's too cute how Stephanie says in reference to the sucking-up girl, "Is that a kid, or is she a mini adult?" That was too funny!!!

I don't wanna buy the DVD because I'm poor and I've spend too much money on things. But maybe some other days I can buy it.
I only have up to 3000 dollars at the most :( But my parents are kinda rich.

ILuvZackMorris 02-16-2005, 06:39 PM More things I remember that are on the DVD and NOT on the ones edited for television.
Joey's Place - When Joey goes to say hi to Michelle before trying to practice his routine, she's playing with some sort of tape recorder type item
Pox in Our House - Joey and Jesse "scratching" but saying they were just pondering....this is before the "these clothes are killing me" scene/line.
The Miracle of Thanksgiving - Joey's Dad has a 3rd wife? (Yes, I was shocked, too.)

Coory 02-18-2005, 03:39 PM Thats where I got mine. Amazon.
Ashlenian 02-18-2005, 06:04 PM I bought this at Wal-Mart today.
I was surprised at how cheap it was!
$22!
musicradio77 02-19-2005, 01:07 AM If I can go to the mall tomorrow in Albany, I will pick up "Full House" on DVD.

Yeah, I once read a script of "Pox" with extra dialog between Jesse and Joey in that ep, but I haven't watched that one on the DVD yet. Also, in "The Return of Grandma," Steph and Joey dispute on why Yogi Bear is better than Bugs Bunny.
Peppermint211 03-04-2005, 02:57 PM I just started watching reruns of this show again. It is very entertaining but highly improbable. There is always a lesson and a moral to the story in some really cheesy way. Like when Jesse and his wife have a fight and they always make up and tell each other how sorry they are and they both agree to change and be perfect forever. Or when the sisters make up. Oh, But I love Michele running around saying the darnest thing. Like "You got it dude". I really miss watching these episodes with my mother when it was on TGIF!
Coory 03-04-2005, 05:08 PM I useually try not to miss an episode when its one. I can see them a million times and not get tired of them.
G-Force Glockstar 04-15-2005, 05:32 PM Back in 2004, I started taping every episode from episode 1-70 something, then I stopped because I got grounded from TV and computer for a month.
Also, one of my tapes got stepped on and broken.
Coory 04-15-2005, 08:51 PM Forget tapes DVD is where its at. :happyface
musicradio77 04-16-2005, 08:36 PM I went to Best Buy today and I bought a DVD of "Full House". This DVD contains the complete first season. I threw out the first two DVD copies of season one since I copied off of TV because of the syndicated opening stuff. The entire DVD has the longer opening. The DVD also includes the pilot with John Posey. I like to see that on my DVD. That would keep me happy. I hope that the season two DVD will be in the works soon.
Coory 04-16-2005, 10:56 PM I hope season 2 is in the works too.
Karen* 04-20-2005, 10:07 PM When do you guys think season two will be out?

Possibly July

Sure hope so! I enjoyed the second season more than the first! :D
G-Force Glockstar 04-21-2005, 07:33 AM Sure hope so! I enjoyed the second season more than the first! :D
Yeah, usually DVDs of TV shows come out about every 5 or 6 months. IDK for sure though.
Coory 04-21-2005, 09:47 PM IF its July we will be hearing something real soon.
G-Force Glockstar 04-22-2005, 09:45 AM Well, I just looked on tv tome. It doesn't say yet when Season 2 will be out.
EmoJoe 07-19-2005, 06:31 PM I wouldn't worry about Season 2, it'll come out. It only got released in Feb.
ILuvZackMorris 07-19-2005, 07:02 PM well, I hope they release it by December. I've waited forever for Full HOuse on dvd. I got season 1 the day it came out (well, actually, my parents bought it for me as I wasn't feeling good that day). And I'd like to have season 2 by Christmas. I also want more special features. I'd LOVE to have interview with the woman who played Pam Tanner on the home movie in the "Goodbye, Mr Bear" episode.
I don't want it to take 9 years to get the seasons out. Its bad enough that only Season 6 of Simpsons is coming out on dvd in August.
Full house has been off the air for 10 years - we deserve 2 seasons a year, I think.
Plus, I hate the way they air it in syndication - they purposely skip around episodes.
Karen* 07-20-2005, 04:21 PM I got season 1 the day it came out (well, actually, my parents bought it for me as I wasn't feeling good that day).
Really? Wow, I was sick the day it came out too! But I held it out for the whole day just so I could go pick up my copy at the video store after school, even though I had it reserved. :D
Anyway, I hope season two comes out by the end of the year. I think Warner has been doing a less than satisfactory job with their TV-on-DVD releases so far. :cuss:
TheHappyBurgerMeister 08-01-2005, 06:43 PM Well, I finally purchased the DVD this weekend at Target! It was on sale, so I decided to get it.
I haven't watched all the episodes yet, but I have watched all the special features. I was kind of shocked on some of the facts they had wrong in "The Miracle of Thanksgiving" fast fact version. Like the birth year of Jodie Sweetin (they said 1983 and it's 1982), that Bob Saget was 28 in the first season (after they state that he was born in 1956- and the show started in 1987 making him at least 30 or 31), and the last thing that really bothered me was they said "Uncle Joey is not their real uncle....." When in the show did they EVER call Joey "Uncle Joey"?? Never!
I wanted to know who got this information and put it on this episode. Kind of surprising since this is the official DVD and you'd think they'd get this info right. I love the commentary episodes though- I wish their were more. Too bad none of the former cast members did commentary.

Kind of like any of the Olsen documentaries...they always get ages wrong...they're always different from one another, even the Olsen's get some of their own stuff wrong lol They were on Letterman not too long ago and he asked them how many VHS/DVDs they had out and they said like 20, when in fact it's much, MUCH more.
But back to the DVD...I don't have it yet, but I do agree they should make sure they have accurate information. And I don't think they call him Uncle Joey, but if I remember correctly they (maybe it was Danny) refer to him once or twice as Uncle Joey, right?

I've seen every episode at least 10 times or more and I'm 98% sure they never call him Uncle Joey!

It could've been an original version...not syndicated. Maybe it's just me hearing it everywhere...but I'm thinking Danny said it to Michelle or Stephanie with one of his pep talks. Maybe I'm wrong, but it sounds familiar.
DVDFreaker 04-05-2006, 12:31 PM I am suprised that Full House Season 3 has slim cases, anybody else suprised by it?
IamGGFan 05-03-2006, 11:17 AM I am suprised that Full House Season 3 has slim cases, anybody else suprised by it?
Yeah, I was surprised too. I got it on the day it was released and I was surprised since since seasons 1 and 2 had it in one box, all 4 in one box.
Cliff Barnes 04-07-2007, 02:43 PM I just watched the season 6 DVD last weekend and indeed, I think Danny or Rebecca or one of the adults called him your Uncle Joey when talking to the kids. I know it was done, but clearly it's just a term of affection.

My best friend has a coulpe nephews who lives with their dad and the guys' mom in the same house. My friend Rick's family refers to all of us as Uncle Don, Uncle Doug, etc.; especially Don because, being handicapped and with no close family nearby, he often hangs out there on Sundays. I guess I'm Just my own name more and more, though.
I think I only heard jesse & Rebecca calling him Uncle Joey when referring to him in front ofthe twins, though, not the girls. However, in books, he's Uncle Joey more often, and yes, it's a term of endearment. I guess it's all in what the family believes is proper to call an adult. Becky may have introduced it becuase they're more conservative in Nebraska and she's mroe used to a title like that.
TeddyTheMan 04-21-2008, 08:51 PM I seem to remember an episode where Steph is acting all pouty to get attention, and refers to him as Uncle Joey. I may be wrong, but I'm pretty sure thats what happened.
Schmoopie 07-13-2008, 08:24 AM I have all of them except for Season 8. I love watching them over and over again. The only thing I hate is that I wish they had a LOT more extras (at least some interviews or more commentaries or something!).
Andrea
Jason16 10-20-2008, 06:42 PM Does anyone know where i can get any region 2 DVD's from? Wikipedia claims that seasons 1-3 has been released on region 2 DVD.
amazins03 11-01-2009, 11:27 PM In this week's Target ad, they advertised seasons one and two for a combined 14.99. That's $14.99 for both seasons, not just one of them.
