Has anyone else thought that Herman's speaking and manner changed during the run of the show? I thought in the earlier episodes he sounded and acted somewhat effeminate but later his voice and behavior had more child-like characteristics. Just wondering...

Your exactly right, Fred Gwynne wanted the "Herman" character to be more child-like, starting from episodes 30 and on.
