Was there ever any episodes, where the characters stood up for and protected each other? Like for ex. Willis defended Arnold, against a bully. If so what were, the eps. about?

If someone would help me, I'd more than appreciate it. Thanks! Kitt 10-17-2004, 02:00 PM I don't recall a lot of specific episodes off the top of my head, but right from the very beginning of Diff'rent Strokes Willis played the 'big-brother' protector to Arnold. In one of the earliest episodes he schemed to have himself and Arnold run away back to Harlem because he (willis) didn't trust Mr. Drummond. Willis thought that Mr. Drummond didn't really have his and Arnold's best interest at heart. Arnold wasn't too happy about Willis's plan to get them out of there, because Arnold was digging his newfound lifestyle . Nonetheless, Arnold would always go along with anything that Willis thought best for the two of them. Willis and Arnold had the classic 'big brother/little brother relationship. Willis was the protector, and Arnold always - with some reservations - accepted and appreciated that.:) ArnoldsGirl 10-18-2004, 05:35 PM Thanks again Kitt for helping me! You were very helpful! :) Kitt 10-19-2004, 09:45 AM You're welcome. Hey, I don't know where everyone is who usually post on this board, but hang in there, they'll be around sooner or later.;) julian bozo 10-20-2004, 12:40 AM In one of my more favorite episodes. in the later season Sam was being harassed by the Gooch. Arnold got their neighbor Carmelia to beat the Gooch up. She does but it never shows it. She was a big girl. rserafin 10-23-2004, 05:47 PM probably one of the biggest episodes of the series that really showed the lengths that willis would go to protect arnold would be the two part episode called crime story. these two episodes had arnold and friend dudley being bullied and threatened by two high school kids. after mr. drummond's plan of stopping it didn't work, willis went down to arnold's school and had a fight with the two bullies. willis got beat up pretty good, but told arnold that he would do it again to protect arnold. i think that these are a couple of the best episodes of the series, and really showed the strong relationship that willis and arnold had. That's the one I chose. ThomasE 12-22-2004, 01:46 AM There was the episode when Kim's boyfriend did not want his younger sister going out with Willis because he was black. When Kim found out, she out on her Maid Marian costume for the dance and then walked down the stairs in the living room wearing it along with some black makeup on her face. She took up for her brothers which I thought was really supportive. She stood by them. |
