Not really. I live about an hour and a half away from Canada.

I hate the accents, when they say house and about. Canada is a poor man's United States.

I can't stand working as a sound engineer in Quebec, making $70,000 a year with my own 3 bedroom house/with a Jacuzzi and inground swimming pool.

The Canadian dollar is weaker than the American dollar, though...If you lived in the US, you'd be making almost $56K+ a year. ;)

Actually, Quebec is the only province/ state in North America where you can 65% of your total income back with your taxes. You can get you house and car insurance back- if you don't claim either of it in that year. I prefer to use public transit here in Montreal, and I get 100% of my travel time back on my income taxes. And of course heath care is 100% free here. Even if I travel, worldwide, I'm 100% covered.

My health is also covered up to 4 years if I decide to work or go to school out of the province and country. Providing my full residence remains in Quebec. So I like it here a lot. :)

Most of my friends in middle school were Canadians...so for a while I kept saying things like aboot (because I naturally adapt to people's accents). Anywho, one of my friends lived near Victoria and had a wall around her house to keep the sea lions away. At least I think that's what she said.

I just had an 18% tax cut two years ago. But insurance write-offs are better IMO. If you don't claim anything on you car insurance, you should be able to get that money back. Here in Quebec you do. :)

But other provinces are not like that. :(

the best thing about Canada is the free healthcare. there needs to be free healthcare in the US since a lot of developed countries have it.

Even some developing countries have free public clinics. They may not be the best, but it's something.

Well I like Alberta's Idea. Unlimited free healthcare for people that have an income of less than $25,000/ year. The rest can choose either to have free heathcare (provided by the province) or purchase an HMO plan.

That's what I think the US should focus on. :)

Montreal was awesome. I wanna go again.

For Michiganders that is prime entertainment. You can drink at 19. I used to go on a monthly basis to the Windsor Casino, which is only about 30 minutes from where i live, just cross the bridge or take the tunnel from Detroit. The alcohol content is higher in
Canada. their beer is like 5 % by volume. I like Windsor, it isa really clean city.

I also prefer the Canadian side of the Niagara Falls, so much more to do. a lot prettier, better view.

I love Canada. The best part of the country is the free health care. Well, it's not exactly free. It's paid for through taxes. Still, it's a better way than each individual person having to pay for operations or other health costs themselves. The U.S. government should actually think about paying for health care through taxes, if they haven't thought of it already. Follow Canada's example. :)

I lived in both the US and Canada, and I truly love both countries:)

Ohh definately, the Canadian side has a better view, but of the two falls themselves, I prefer the American side.

The Canadian side is too straight-cut, I like that the American side is ridged. If that makes any sense (it probably does to those who have seen them)
