Everyday, I take calcium, vitamin E, a multi-vitamin, Oscal, and another supplement called glucosamine (for bones and cartilage).

I hate taking vitamins. They're so big. You're supposed to take vitamins with food or milk for your system to absorb them. I almost gag taking them, but I know that they're good for you.

The only food groups I get suffeciant amounts of are carbs and dairy, and I totally overdo both, I get close to the right amount of protein from peanutbutter...

At any rate, I have a deplorable diet, and as such I started taking a multivitamin everyday just the other day, though I just take it with water before I go to bed. They are pretty big, but swallowing pills has never been a problem.

I've tried taking them at different times in the past but for some reason they always made me feel sick.

I can't take Iron supplements because of constipation (TMI). I've been taking a Calcium with Magnesium and Zinc supplement. The regular name would be 'Dolomite"; it helps with my aging bones.
Taking Calcium should go along with taking Vitamin D also; it helps on the absorption process; Caltrate with D is a good example for that.

It is usually very difficult for me to swallow them so I don't take them often. I used to be kind of on a roll, and I would take calcium and magnesium often. Heck, since this thread reminded me, I shall start up today (as long as I drink enough, I think I can swallow them all right)... maybe I can make it a habit. :)

The only vitamin I take in pill form is vitamin C every morning.

This is so weird. I had a dream a couple of nights ago that I was on this board and there was a poll about what kind of vitamins we all take. For some reason I decided to click everything, and then I got emailed by everyone telling me I shouldn't be doing that.

I really only take iron, no vitamins.

Yes.
I've been taking a multi-vitamin and vitamin C every day for a little over 20 years.
The last time I had a physical, about 4 years ago, my cholesterol level was 168! (Under 200 is desirable.) I think the many years of taking vitamin C is one reason it is so low (other reasons: daily excercise and a good amount of high-fiber food).

I also take vitamin E.

I agree, Janice... a lot of vitamins are so big! The multi and vitamin C I use are chewable. (Not the vitamin E.)
