Twentieth TV has engineered its first rerun deal for "24," signing 18 Viacom-owned TV stations to take the show for two runs every weekend, beginning next fall.

No cash changes hands in the deal. Instead, each station gives seven commercial minutes in each run to Twentieth to sell to national advertisers. Stations keep the other seven minutes to sell locally.

The lineup of stations, led by WCBS New York, KCBS/KCAL Los Angeles and WBBM Chicago, will get "24" reruns into about 34% of the U.S.

For the Monday-Friday runs, which would take place simultaneously with the syndication plays in 2005, Twentieth is still trying to line up a cable network with FX and TNT in the hunt.

Other stations on board include KYW/WPSG Philadelphia, KPIX/KBHK San Francisco, KTVT/KTXA Dallas, WWJ/WKBD Detroit, KSTW/Seattle, WTOG/Tampa, KMAX/Sacramento, KDKA-WNPA/Pittsburgh, WJZ/Baltimore, WNDY/Indianapolis, WWHO/Columbus, WUPL/New Orleans, KAUT/Oklahoma City, KEYE/ Austin and WFRV/Green Bay, all Viacom stations.

Amazon.com (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00005JLF2) is offering the the first season dvd for just $15 for a limited time. You guys need to check this show out. Either the dvds or on tv.
