Hilton Mulling Annulment?

Is Nicky done with being Mrs. Meister?

Nicky Hilton has apparently decided that whole "until death do us part" scenario really isn't for her. In a shocking display of flightiness and fickleness from a woman bearing the last name Hilton (hold on, we need to wipe the sarcasm off our keyboard), the heiress is preparing to file for an annulment after two months of not-quite-wedded bliss to money manager Todd Meister, 33, reports Us Weekly.

The magazine says the duo, who met several years ago, "are working on an annulment" of their Aug. 15 Las Vegas aisle-walk, but it's all quite amicable. Word is that Nicky, at the tender age of 21, just isn't in a very wife-y place (specifically, she's in L.A. and he lives in New York).

Hilton has purportedly handed over her $1 million-plus kiwi-sized engagement ring, which is a Meister family heirloom.

Nicky's spokesman gave an appropriately vague response over the alleged Britney-like plan, telling USA Today, "As far as I can determine, the reports are speculative, and I make it a practice not to comment on speculation or rumor." Us Editor-in-Chief Janice Min insists the report is "beyond solid."

The pair's surprise wedding earned them a People magazine cover, and, for Nicky, a brief moment of fame that outshined her sister, Paris, who helped arrange the Sin City vows (she picked Whitney Houston's "I Will Always Love You" as their wedding song).

"I love being married. It's great and really thrilling," Hilton recently told People, although she said being called Mrs. Meister was "a little weird to get used to."

There is some good news for Nicky: She can now legally drink (she turned 21 on Oct. 5) and will reportedly celebrate that milestone with 200 of her closest friends at the Hard Rock Hotel in Vegas this weekend.

In related news, Britney says she's ready to retire the name Spears. "I probably will. Britney Federline, I like that," the spiraling starlet is quoted telling the German magazine Bunte. "Society probably won't allow me, but I would like to change it."
