Which order do you prefer your episodes to be released in on DVD?

I prefer airdate order because first of all I'm used to watching them that way and secondly I can't follow the show as easily with production order.

Whichever is the intended order.

Sometimes they're produced in a weird order, and the airdate order puts them in their proper places. Sometimes networks air them in a random order, and production order looks better. It really just depends.

But for the most part.... I just watch the DVDs in the order that is given, much less work for myself.

Exactly. Some shows I prefer production order (most shows) and others I prefer airdate order.

Sliders has to be in Production Order. FOX totally screwed up the order.

The Monkees, I also chose Production Order.

production order is not always the best, look at the 227 DVD, it's a jumbled mess ohno:

if it was a show like Buffy The Vampire Slayer, which is a continuing story for 7 seasons, episodes being shown out of order is really crappy, but for most sitcoms, it's fine because a lot of the time, there's not too much continuation, even tho on the 227 DVD it did annoy me that the two part pilot episode were split off onto different discs.

Airdate order is best...

What i dont understand is, why cant someone figure out what works best for each series when the put it on the dvd's?
